My only question is: If, they should get a major rain storm like we did in 2010 at the "Q" when the river overflowed and the stadium was flooded by two to three feet of water inside, will the design be capable to handle the water? I wonder if they did take this into consideration in their original design to make channels to allow water to go away, or raise the level of the base of the stadium, or what? They are taking those issues into account. Also, they are bringing fill (and reusing fill from the destruction of the stadium) in order to reduce the issues of flooding. According to earlier drawings I saw, typical flooding will be limited to the river park areas.

8? I've only seen the one. And I look daily. U have link to other cameras? Read the Script over the video.... SDSU Mission Valley camera 5. When it was closer to IKEA, it was SDSU Mission Valley camera 8. That is why I believe there to be 8 cameras on the site. They are contracting the camera out. The company they are using does this all over the country. So I think the camera number has to do with their own designation and not that of the project. I have not yet seen another camera angle than this one. Oh, it sucks. Wish they had more than one camera.

According to earlier drawings I saw, typical flooding will be limited to the river park areas. They are also redesigning the flow of the San Diego river to make for better flow past and threw the project area. When they built up the original stadium they kind of forced it into the area with very little thought to the river flow (ie Big Strom flow events)

As the pictures show, there are light structures already topping the west and south areas of the new stadium.

Looks like the first steel is going up on the east side as well. Exciting times.

As the steel rapidly is erected on the northwest end, it closes or will close, the view of the live camera.
The above photos are outstanding. Was really impressed to see a full days work last Saturday.

This shot looks like it might be from the fire station across Friars Road. The live camera might be adjacent to the 5-white rectangle items in the middle of the photo; there looks to be a pole there and that location mimics the live camera shot. Guess only as I don't have any inside info.

As the pictures show, there are light structures already topping the west and south areas of the new stadium. As the days get shorter they'll probably need the lighting to continue work after sundown.

I suppose, but they seem to be making pretty good progress now, and even the shortest days of the year have about 10 hours of daylight.

Yeah, I gotta say their progress has been amazing from when they broke ground. At the rate they're moving it makes me wonder if they're paying overtime or have 2 shifts going. Is there a targeted completion date before kickoff?
