Okay, it is likely just me, but this thing is looking very small. Like a Texas high school stadium. But, it will have to do obviously. It’s going to look smaller than your typical college football stadium because it was designed to be closer to the field more like soccer stadiums. So you should be comparing the stadium to soccer stadiums. I think it’s an awesome approach. Bring everyone closer and hopefully make it louder and a true home field advantage. Then make it sort of like Petco with some San Diego style to it and it’ll be a great college stadium unlike anything else. Again, I'm no sound engineer, but I think the opposite effect will occur. It's small flat and with very little vertical components to "trap" the sound. Thus, I think it will be a very muted atmosphere. Just my opinion. Others with more facts will give us an assist here.

I have season tickets to the Portland Timbers and they play in a 25,000 seat stadium and the fans are right on top of the field and it is much louder than 75,000 San Diego Stadium or 100,000 Rose Bowl.

Yes I'm sure it does but you are right on top of the players so all that noise comes right on top of the players. I'm sure that that Aztec Stadium with a packed house will be very loud with how close the fans will be to the field.

Have you ever been to a game at Reser Stadium (Oregon State)? Similar in size to ours...VERY loud when the crowd gets rolling. Rattle your teeth loud.

Yes I've been to several games at OSU and you are correct it can get very loud.

I was there for three games before they even re-did it -- when the student section stands looked like something out of a Pop Warner Saturday. But that massive overhang on the season-ticket holder side of the field... LOUD!!

As for the stadium profile, I just drove by. The I-beams are almost the height of the 6 story bldg next door. Also the site was built up and the field will 20+ feet below concourse. I have been to MWC stadiums at LV, SJSU, Air Force, Nevada, Boise, NM, Fresno, HI,and Co St. They are all dumps! I didn't care for Co St as you had to go up a level to be able go back down to your seats. Kinda like Petco. And the sideline signage was extremely distracting. Not sure what they advertising but, it gave the field a purple haze. As nice as Petco is, the access and mobility is questionable. Fresno isn't that bad but, it is big and not as bad as the others. The additions over the years make it just like most old college stadiums expanded and enhanced? Been to OS and 60+/- other college stadiums. Old and semi-new ones. There won't be any better than Warrior Stadium. After over a year without game day experience I'm looking forward to Carson as a prelude to WS. It won't be as big but, should give an example of fan experience and crowd noise.

It appears they got the columns for the NW video board in place. Gives a nice point of reference.

Wonder when they realize, we won't be able to see anything soon? Can't see the forest for the trees?

Wonder when they realize, we won't be able to see anything soon? Can't see the forest for the trees? Pretty sure they have 8 cameras on the site. They only provide access to one at a time, so they should be able to select a better view, if they will is the question.

My only question is: If, they should get a major rain storm like we did in 2010 at the "Q" when the river overflowed and the stadium was flooded by two to three feet of water inside, will the design be capable to handle the water? I wonder if they did take this into consideration in their original design to make channels to allow water to go away, or raise the level of the base of the stadium, or what?

I saw somewhere that the new field, despite being below grade, is higher than the playing field was at SDCCU. I'm sure those engineers who placed the new playing field on the highest point on the property did their homework as to the hydrology of the property...I hope so.

Look at pictures of the 2010 flooding. About the only area that DIDN'T flood was the portion of the parking lot where the new stadium is being built.

8? I've only seen the one. And I look daily. U have link to other cameras? Read the Script over the video.... SDSU Mission Valley camera 5. When it was closer to IKEA, it was SDSU Mission Valley camera 8. That is why I believe there to be 8 cameras on the site.
