I didn't realize we have so many concrete experts on this board. 😂. I don't deal with concrete as I am more Division 8, but I am always looking for concrete business partners. Concrete cements a partnership. Then they go out and get plastered.

Concrete cements a partnership. Then they go out and get plastered. Seems like a solid relationship.

Now that MOW killed the running cement relationship gag with his thesaurus, I have an actual serious question. Is the trolley still making a stop at the stadium site, or is it just passing thru? I could see a few construction workers taking the trolley to get there and back home on days that they don't need to drive their vehicles. It would also be cool to stop there for a bit, watch the construction from the tracks, then hop on to the next trolley.

But to me, what is worse, is the closing of the Grantville Station parking area until 2023. I was looking forward to going down Waring Rd, park at the Grantville lot, and taking the trolley to the new stadium. And it appears that when construction at the Grantville station is complete, parking will be very limited.

Parking won't be free there, but at least some $ will go toward the school if you pay to park there. Plus you get the feel of riding from campus to the game. It would be nice if the SDSU Marketing Dept did something to make those rides a little more fun. Bar cart?

It's a shame this camera doesn't show most of the construction on the west. Surprised It's not just pointed at a pile of dirt? Hope a new drone footage pops up soon!

Okay, it is likely just me, but this thing is looking very small. Like a Texas high school stadium. But, it will have to do obviously.

It should error more on the side of "Texas high school stadium" than oversize multi-purpose behemoth with terrible sightlines. It should be tight and loud and amazing -- just like a certain basketball arena we all know and love...

Okay, it is likely just me, but this thing is looking very small. Like a Texas high school stadium. But, it will have to do obviously. It’s going to look smaller than your typical college football stadium because it was designed to be closer to the field more like soccer stadiums. So you should be comparing the stadium to soccer stadiums. I think it’s an awesome approach. Bring everyone closer and hopefully make it louder and a true home field advantage. Then make it sort of like Petco with some San Diego style to it and it’ll be a great college stadium unlike anything else.

A lot of steel went up on the West side this week. Do wish we had either a better camera angle or more cameras. As for looking small, it doesn't to me. It is designed for football and soccer so its footprint can be smaller. I do know some people who maintained their Charger tickets and really liked watching games at Dignity Health Park, and this will be quite similar to that. Also, sports attendance has been dropping over the last decade (even in the P5, check out UCLA) so a smaller stadium, better game day experience, while encouraging more of a social gathering for the students with the "party decks" seems to be a good idea.
