I know a number of very good Aztec teams were successfully ambushed in Laramie in the past. But this team feels different, doesn't it? It suddenly has so many upperclass men with poise and experience. If inside or outside shots aren't falling, I think the team and Dutcher will find a way to compensate. SJSU was probably the best thing that's happened to them so far.
Bad News: No place to record game if you miss it. Good News: MW Network has games On Demand. Just not sure how soon after the games, they're available.

Never too early to worry, IMO. A watched pot seldom boils.

I hate when we have to go to Wyoming. They play their very best against us (at least that what I seem to remember) and have taken down some of our very best teams. I'm always wary of going there. Let's just go and get it over with!

I've been watching Aztec hoops since I first came to SDSU as a freshman in 1978 when the school first joined the WAC/MWC. And every year I've watched as SDSU has traditionally struggled -- no matter how good or bad Wyoming was -- at 7,200 feet in Laramie. The Aztecs have been stomped by good Cowboy teams and have been bushwacked by bad Cowboy teams. Doesn't matter. Things are always unpredictable at over a mile-and-a-third high.
I do, however, think that if there's an Aztec team built for this challenge, it's the '19/'20 Aztecs. Their deep roster, upper classmen leadership and poise will help balance things out and keep them away from the bear trap that is a January road game in Laramie. Additionally, this edition of Wyoming hoops is truly terrible. One of the worst Cowboy teams I've seen since the Aztecs have been in the WAC/MWC.
So I'm looking for a fairly smooth ride to a 16-0 record.

Better guzzle a lot of BEET JUICE for the high altitude games. That's the secret.

Wyoming is the worst team in the MWC and it's not even close. When we struggled at Wyoming in the past those Wyoming teams were actually pretty good. This game wont be a problem.

Hopefully us fans are the only ones thinking this way! I want us to go in to Laramie with the intent of completely shutting them down, like keep their point total in the high 40's to low 50's. If we have that mentality, then yes, I would agree with you. Dutch has to remind them how close they were to getting beat by SJSU!

Us being ranked #7 will get them licking their chops but classes don’t start till January 27th so a lot of them Cowboys will still be out on the range.

As we all know, at this point in the season, every game is a potential pitfall, each with its own set of unique circumstances.
At the very least, we have a California-size target on our back. Everyone and their junkyard dog is going to come gunning for us. To sustain the high-level of play day-in and day-out to grind out the remainder of the season is a huge ask.
But if there is any squad - at least since 2010-2011 - that has the right combination of aptitude, skill, coaching, and grit, it's these guys.
So while we all should be tempering expectations, the potential is certainly there and for just the second time in memory, this Aztec team has all the tools required to reach it.
Go Aztecs!

Play everyone like you're playing Gonzaga. Dutcher made it clear that the opposing team we study on film, won't be the same team we see on gameday. You never know what team will be showing up, so stay prepared and bring your "A" game. If not, you're setting yourself for an upset.

How fans look at the game and how the players are different. Obviously the players need to look at the game seriously or they will get themselves into trouble. In basketball anyone can lose to anyone. But if they play this game 100 times, SDSU would win 98 times IMO. I'm actually more worried about the Boise State game on Saturday than this one.

Never know how college guys are going to react being rated in the top 10 and then playing an opponent that is seen as lower quality .Can have a drop in getting up for a game .
We do know Cowboys do have signs all over their arena about the altitude . Beating us can make their season
