Us being ranked #7 will get them licking their chops but classes don’t start till January 27th so a lot of them Cowboys will still be out on the range. Agreed. Being #7, we will be everybody's Super Bowl and they will all play with superhuman focus and drive. Every game is gonna be a challenge now that we have a top 10 label. |

easy Yahoo Sports in a Monday overactions article point no. 5. Calling the AZTECS legit is one thing but the AZTECS still have to play 14 more conference games against the conferences top teams. right now the focus is beating Wyoming. Take it one game at a time and the AZTECS could make an undefeated regular season happen. There would absolute bedlam at the madhouse on the mesa. Students would have to get in line overnight just to get tickets for the remaining home games just like they did for byu in 2011. It is time for the athletic dept. to give updates on ticket availability for remaining home games which will all be sold out. Then give updates for how many tickets have been sold for the conference tournament. I can imagine 6,000+ AZTECS fans (most ever) taking over VIEJAS EAST.

We seldom play well in Wyoming. Stop thinking about an undefeated regular season and focus on the next game. We have a history of stumbling at the most inopportune times. Didn't we score in single digits for the first half in Wyoming one year?

For the team to worry? They shouldn't worry, they should just prepare the same way you do for every opponent. Consider when a reporter asked Nick Saban what he did different to prepare for a big game. His response was basically, 'if there was something better we could do to prepare for this game then we'd do it for all our games.'
In other words, this is a game, same as the rest, we do what we do to get ready.
For the fans to worry? I guess worry all you want (it won't impact the outcome). You shouldn't worry much more than you did for SJSU, which is to say that this team isn't very good, but even a team that isn't very good can beat us. That being written, we PROBABLY win this by double digits.

I hate when we have to go to Wyoming. They play their very best against us (at least that what I seem to remember) and have taken down some of our very best teams. I'm always wary of going there. Let's just go and get it over with! You may hate it ,but since they are on the schedule you must play them. Besides, if you wish to be known as a Top team you have to be able to play anyone, anywhere, at anytime without complaints. Yes, we have had some bad upsets up in Laramie, but in winning you show just how good your team really is, and that is what really counts! So, GO Get 'Em Aztecs!!!!!!!   |

Let's see, Wyoming has lost to Cal State Fullerton, Northern Colorado, Utah Valley, as well as other more common teams all AT HOME. I know we have a history of weird sH*t that goes on there, but this Cowboy team is just down right awful. Of course, with that said, so was San Jose St that we needed a last second trey to be AT HOME. I say we beat them by 25.

any trip to the Mountain schools is trouble - especially to Wyoming . They have nothing to lose - but we have a very good season going. They also have the altitude signs all over the arena to get in the head of the opponents
Yes in one game there we only scored 9 points in a half
Also of note this is the second game to a Mountain school this week . Friday Travel to USU - stay over Saturday . travel back Sunday . Practice some Sunday - Monday - Travel Tuesday . Not much time to sleep in their own beds and to practice . Up and down on the body . Then Play Wednesday . Travel Thursday .
By the way what ball does Wyoming use . New Nike ?
Could be travel legs for Wyoming game and even the BSU game at home following - that could also be a problem

I'm a perpetual worrier. This is a program that plays to the level of its competition. Just once, it would be great to see them take a MWC to the shed on their own court.
You know would be even better than that? 16-0. And for that, I'll take winning 1-0.

Team travels to Wyoming today - so let the worry clock begin
Do have a tough stretch AT Wyoming - travel day early - play game - stay over travel - then be ready after two road trips to play BSU at home Saturday- then travel again to Fresno for a Tuesday game - is it a long bus ride ? Believe we are 1-4 when playing lately At Fresno . They should have more players then they did when we played them on New Years day

As for us this is the deepest team I've seen us have. There is very little drop off beyond the starters. They've already gotten their complacency lesson against SJSU. Plus with an unbeaten string on the line I can't see them losing this one. Worse case is not beating the spread. |

Oh Gawd I remember that 9 point first half at Wyoming. I believe it was during J Frank's junior year. Thanks to our always stellar defense we were not out of that game, but ultimately we did lose.
