Don't want to appear to be nitpicking, he has been a pleasant surprise to me. His numbers at Vandy were not impressive at all but the first time I saw him play for us I couldn't believe how athletic he was, especially his footwork. He also has a very solid build to give us a big presence inside. Getting the ball down low is going to mean he is going to get fouled so I'd like to see his FT shooting improve. We are going to have games where that will be the difference. I can't believe he didn't get more playing time with a terrible Vanderbilt team. He's a really good player. Did Vanderbilt's coach even keep his job after last season?? that is the enigma that I cant understand. |

Wetzell does seem to have a pretty smooth shot. He definitely should be over 70%. However, the rest of his game has been tremendous, so it's hard to nitpick him on that. We are going to have games where that will be the difference. It probably depended on how well Wetzell would have blended in with their new recruits. After all, he only had one more year and wasn't a featured player. BTW, was he a center or a PF there? That could have been a factor for why he chose to come here. |

Great props for Feagin by the announcers. He deserves it! Nope He's not shooting well, but he plays all out on defense. Also constantly has one of the best +/- on the team (2nd last night), so he's doing something right. |
