We should refuse to go. Waste of time. Another reason why the mwc sucks. Another bowl where the players don’t give a $#!+ and the team loses. Go Aztecs!!!!! Feel free to stay home!! Respectfully, has it occurred to you what the ramifications of widespread compliance with your suggestion might be? |

According to Mark Ziegler on Twitter: They announced to the 11,925 at Viejas Arena today that the football team will play in the .... New Mexico Bowl. No reaction. Nothing. Silence.  Cool story. And not exactly true. Then again, it wasn't a standing ovation, either. As Aztecfred stated, most everyone already knew where the Aztecs were going. |

I also mildly booed, not the team, just the Bowl and opponent. The team deserved better.

No way you can say we don't deserve this game or this opponent more or less than any other. We're the fourth best team in the MW and that's being charitable -- putting us ahead of two teams that beat us, Nevada and Utah State. Hope Boise, Air Force and Hawaii show well in their bowls. Not sure of the politics that went on between us and Wyoming, but we have no right to be bellyaching about our fate.

1. I have mad respect for the players and never complain about them. They put in year round work. The play at a level I could never achieve.
2. This conference sucks. Few teams in the mwc get the fans excited. I like playing against Boise and Fresno. Don’t have any attachment to the rest.
3. They are 35 bowl games and very few of them have any real significance anymore. The best bowl we can hope for is Vegas. Vegas is a decent bowl.
4. My feelings about the conference or the bowl game is not a reflection of my love for the Aztecs. I am second generation Aztec alum and hoping my son chooses to go to state one day.

No we shouldn't have the Arizona bowl. We got the bowl that we deserved. There was no disrespect. Really?You are saying 7-5 Wyoming, 4-4 in division play deserves to go ahead of 9-3 SDSU? Yeah ok. No way. They might hate us. |

Remember when everyone begged for any bowl game?  After 10 in a row, all of a sudden we should turn down an invite? Come on folks, a bowl game is better than no bowl game. Of course it would have been nice to play later against K St or Wash St. but it didn’t happen, so we have to root for a better result than the last couple years, in particular last year....that was an embarrassment. |
