Aztecs are out rebounding Iowa, but they're also getting killed on the TOs. Iowa had 7 steals to the Aztecs 1. Aztecs at 54.5% on both 2 and 3 point shots - both greater than Iowa. So what's the deal? Iowa has 9-10 free throws. Aztecs 2-2. SMH
Stop turning it over and play without fouling, and maybe there's still a chance.

Iowa is REALLY solid and good. They are exposing all our warts.
Win or lose this a great game for us because it's a litmus test. We will know exactly who we are and where we are at after this game ... and what we need to do from here on out.
Including Dutcher and staff

This will come down to having the right players on the floor. The coach didn’t do a good job in the first half.
Line up should be: Mitchell, Shackel, Wetzell, Flynn and Seiko.

I don't mind if they lose to somebody the quality of Iowa. But doing it while pooping the bed is a total waste for a team that would have a legit shot at a W when they play as well as they can.
Kept it under 10 after a timid first half. Now hope they let 'em hang low in the 2nd half and see what we can really do.

I think one thing I’ve seen this year is that this team goes as Yanni goes. Yanni is the key right now for how far this team goes. In a few weeks maybe it’s Flynn once he gets his game going. If Yanni can put up 10 points, 6 rebounds and stay out of foul trouble we’ll get back in this game easy.
Mitchell and Schakel need more minutes together.

The difference in the game is the disparity at the free throw line...we're out shooting and rebounding...but we also out turnovering them too.... |

Was the flagrant on Mensah legit? Absolutely baffling in arena Yeah, it was. Didn’t rip his head off, but he was looking right at him when he put the elbow up. 15 years ago it wouldn’t have been a flagrant. Not saying that’s better (it’s not), but that may help pain the picture. |
