More socioeconomic inequality = More crime Substandard living conditions = More crime The reasons why most people don't care is because the stores, and the wealth that those companies hold vs. average people, are emblematic of the wealth divide in this country. People don't care because on some deep level, they understand that the power structures of pay and wealth are not fair, and that the lootings are the equivalent of poor people attempting to balance the scales. The looting is the equivalent of monkeys rioting for being paid unequally, for performing the same task for researchers as another monkey in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=meiU6TxysCgIt seems the more you know, the more dire the future looks. To stave off coming societal and ecological disasters..the absolutely dumbest thing you could do to address today's problems is to tell the masses that we can go back to the 1950's. But an even dumber way to address today's problems is to tell the masses that we should go back to 1917. SMH

SMH Well, what's really dumb and funny (if you like Jerry Springer) is watching McCarthy squirm as he has to prop up psycho trailer trash... Boebert, Green and Gosar only because the Orange Wizard of Slime is watching every move he makes. It's full on "Idiocracy" material. just watch the opening scene..2 minutes.

Do you know how many Democrat Governors and Legislatures CA has had since Reagan? Besides what you are told to think, here is the reason why our Mental Institutions are closed or seemingly feckless in dealing with the mental illness with the homeless that plagues America. No matter how or how well funded the mental institution is, commit the average homeless mental case and they just walk out in short order. And if they don't walk out as they like, soon a millionaire lawyer will be walking out with them. Thank you ACLU. mentalillnesspolicy.org/legal/survive-safely-oconnor-donaldson.html

You should consider charging rent to that guy currently living for free in your head. And with likes of AOC being the "intellectual" of the progressive liberal Democrats, the current state and trend of our public education system, the ascendancy of our bureaucracies, etc., Idiocracy should be the last movie you would want to reference.

Bring your crosses and garlic (as the post is from Breitbart) but the article features the "intellect" of the Democrat Party, the scope of the Smash and Grab problem and, by examination of this thread, the naiveté for plans of action to stop this crime wave (~SJW lunacy with Government subsidized housing, wealth redistribution, etc). No "1950's esque" RICO enforcement, no revision on limits for petty theft & felony theft, no mandatory prosecution or minimum sentencing (forcing the hand of the SJW D.A.s, etc.). No, we will "grin" the criminals into good behavior with Government give aways after we arrest them on a misdemeanor petty theft charge and let them go with no or reduced bail. . www.breitbart.com/crime/2021/12/05/ocasio-cortez-blasted-for-dismissing-organized-retail-theft-crimewave/PS - If your religion doesn't allow you to read or consider Breitbart, the article does have links to the original reporting.

The United States has the highest incarceration rate per capita in the world - countries that are close to us include Cuba and Rwanda. We need to do the opposite of what you are suggesting. We should be lowering sentence time, allowing more supervised release, as well as alternative programs for people with mental health and or substance abuse issues.

But far be it from me to stop you from your predictable straw man response.

We should be lowering sentence time, allowing more supervised release, as well as alternative programs for people with mental health and or substance abuse issues. In some countries of the world, the elite/pols conspire with the criminal element to govern. In others, it is the criminals themselves (~dictators, their cronies, etc) that govern. I like to believe that the US is in neither of those camps. While I'm in for reducing incarceration rates, it should also come with a reduction in crime rates. If it doesn't come with a reduction crime rates, then we are just deluding ourselves and would be headed in another wrong direction. See above. CA has recently reduced the severity of punishment for any number of offenses, yet smash and grab crime, for example, remains high and on the rise. And it has gone from simple crimes of opportunity to organized crime. So, in reality, SJW corrective action, in this case, is just wrong. So Democrats...please try again.

news.yahoo.com/california-gov-gavin-newsom-tours-092001281.html"The images looked like a Third World country," Newsom told reporters. "What you saw here in the last week is just not acceptable. So, I took off the suit and tie and said I'm coming because I couldn't take it. I can't turn on the news anymore. What the hell is going on?" Amazing what you can find when you do things other than hanging out with donors, bureaucrats and fellow true believers.

CA Prop 47 passed in 2014 and look at the graph for violent crime in LA, for example, in and after 2014. Now nearly doubled since 2013. If a policy reduces public safety, it is, in fact, a failed policy. But, but Prop 47 wasn't "Progressive enough". Well here is your chance to open a Bodega in downtown LA and show us how Gascone's more progressive policies are working. I'm sure you want to give away your goods and services for free just like the 7/11 owner did

Pray tell, how an administrative change for non-violent crimes helped spur a violent crime wave. You really don't know what reduces or increases crime, don't ya? You just love the police state and totalitarianism. Whatever...I just want what you just smoked before you hallucinated like you just did. Is it legal?
