Real aztecs fans show up for every home game!!!!!! Buying a season ticket eliminates premium game prices. The AZTECS players earned our support. So 50,000+ for boise game.

The problem is the casual fan will skip this game cause of the price. And also skip Nevada cause the opponent sucks. It’s sort of lose lose if they are hoping to build a fan base that will attend games regularly. What matters is how much revenue you bring in. That's what pays the bills and covers the scholarships. Premium games are nothing new. UNLV was charging $40+ for our game last Saturday. If they don't like UNR then come for FSU or NM. There are plenty of options and tickets are dirt cheap. I get that. But this might be a once in a lifetime season. It might be better to forgo a few bucks this year to build a bigger base of attending fans for the future. Plus we have a great chance to get to a big money bowl this year that will make the ticket markup look like a pittance to the bottom line.

There are currently $34 tickets available on goaztecs.com
Not that I'm suggesting that they are the same product...but putting it into perspective...the absolute cheapest SF 49er (currently 0-5) tickets are $179 in the nose-bleed section...more than 5 times that of a ranked SDSU team playing a traditional college football powerhouse...
Just saying...

If they're not going to pay $35+ to see this game they're not going to spring for season tickets next year. $90 gets you a 3 game pass including this one. It's a bargain. Even at $50 it's a bargain by today's standards.

*Note to The Doctor & aztecking. I hear you about the price of the tickets going up for this game, but that is nothing new at all. I'm not sure if you two are season tickets holders, but I can assure you it has been like that for a long time. I had season tix back in 2004, and I was looking over them just now, and here is what I found. The ticket for the Samford (not Stanford) was $10.00 as was the game for New Mexico.
But, the BYU game which is considered a bigger draw, and better team, the ticket price was $15.00. So, even season ticket holders had raised prices on particular games in their season packets.
Of course, if you buy tickets individually for each game you will pay more for them. The difference between a no name team, and a well established team can be considerable. You know, the bigger the draw the steeper the price.

Ticket sales must be doing pretty well as they just opened up another 8 sections in the upper deck.

We’re going to get over 50K inside the stadium. It will be so awesome to get 50k. It can happen! Especially if the season ticket holders are out inviting all their friends and family.

it would be cool to have a poster like that calling sdsu running back u. You could have faulk, jones, ned, hillman, pumphrey and penny on there. All nfl runningbacks.

I used to get tons of posters in the 90's and early 2000s from SDSU games. Still have a Morrison one and a 96 or 98 one. What happened to that?
