36,363, and that's being "hopeful". I really think it'll remain in the 34-35K range. There's simply no buzz around this team. It's a very sad reality. Really don't know what it will take, but this is really the LAST really competitive football game the Aztecs have left this season until/unless they're in the MWC Championship game… People gotta get offa their thangs - dance to the stadium, and they'll feel better! Well, I offer you this anecdotal bit of information. I was having my yearly physical this morning. The nurse who took my vital signs said that, since the Chargers have left, she is trying to support the Aztecs. Naturally, I told her about AztecMesa and she seemed eager to check out our site. That’s just one case, to be sure, but I think there will be many more in the coming years. Here’s my guess, and this is being conservative. I say we draw in the high 30s this Saturday. Could be higher, of course. WLR

I'd expect something in the Stanford/Cal range - 42-44k.
6-0 & playing BSU = > 2-0 & playing Stanford, assuming BSU travels well. If not, subtract 2k.
Students will be KEY!
Can't wait. Only wish BSU was 6-0 (or even 5-1) & College Gameday had us high on their radar!

We will get more than the Stanford game. 43K minimum and hopefully we can break 50K (but I doubt we will).

If we were both undefeated it is a good bet they would be in San Diego this week; particularly with the national storyline of the Chargers moving to LA; but alas it didn't play out that way.

The only tricky part is Herbstreit, and which game he's broadcasting. They usually need him on a West coast game for that to happen, although they've flown him to midwest locations after Game Day in the past for a night game.

I had to send out over 200 emails trying to find a WSU grad who had access to the ship so they could fly the WSU flag. The point being, they CAME TO SD. The timezone isn't an issue; the logistics aren't an issue. They just need to sell the story about the game, and SDSU hasn't had any games in SD which have been sellable for decades. The Stanford game was the closest, but it was too early in the year & too many bigger games. Completely disagree with you about the Navy v ND game. Not happening unless Navy is undefeated & ND is top 10, and IMO Navy should have 2 losses by then. Plus, they've done their off-campus sites already (NY, Atlanta).

There are still $90 3-game mini plans available for Plaza Level and $115 3-game mini plans available in Club 10 & 11. You can pick any 3 of the 4 games left, including Boise State. That is NOT expensive. I think I had to pay over $100 for end zone view level seats for the Chargers.

My observations are not robust, but I do run into people every day who know about the Aztecs but seem unaware of their recent success (and I mean going back a few years worth of successes). Even then, they're more likely than not to mention the Men's basketball team. Now, if you were to visit Pittsburgh, Knoxville, Miami, or even stinkin' L.A. today, you will see and hear from far more locals who openly support their own college team (especially if you're wearing another team's gear!) I'm not saying there's no hope for San Diego, just that right now, given the level of success the Aztecs have had over the past 3-4 years, the buzz I'd expect still seems really muted. If the stinkin' Chargers were still in San Diego at 6-0 right now that'd be all we heard about … OK, maybe that's apples to oranges, but they're not. There's no competition. I know this kind of opinion disturbs loyal Aztec fans, and in a way, maybe it should. Maybe we'll all get out there and stir things up just a little bit more. Wear a little more red and black, don a DS hat more often, anything to get a stronger buzz going. Some have been doing it for years on years. They deserve a little help. Of course, we can always call a local shop for a little stronger buzz. Allegedly, they deliver now … but I'd rather have that buzz be about the Aztecs.

Now they added an UltraStar movie pass: All mini plan buyers will receive a free UltraStar movie pass with each mini plan purchased. Fans are advised to purchase tickets to all games online in advance of game day for the best seat selection and to avoid lines at the stadium. Tickets in some sections/price levels will be sold out by game day.

I look at it this way. 25K at regular price is > 60K for any YBU game at any price.

Simple economics. 40k at 2x ticket price > 50k at regular ticket price Premium priced games are a good thing. The "casual" fan can attend FSU & Nevada if they don't want to spring for the big game. The problem is the casual fan will skip this game cause of the price. And also skip Nevada cause the opponent sucks. It’s sort of lose lose if they are hoping to build a fan base that will attend games regularly.

Premium games are nothing new. UNLV was charging $40+ for our game last Saturday. If they don't like UNR then come for FSU or NM. There are plenty of options and tickets are dirt cheap.
