I rather they enjoy the victory today.

Sometimes they do. That game was not in Corvallis. It was in Portland. I was there. I know that Village Aztec was there as well as others here.

It's a big win from a mental state of things and maybe helps a tiny bit with recruits. But ASU is not good and not much different from CSU for instance. I would be shocked if they didn't finish in bottom 3 of pac 12, hope I'm wrong tho

That says it was in Corvallis and not in Portland. That is what I thought.

That says it was in Corvallis and not in Portland. That is what I thought. The Beaver Site says it was in Civic Stadium in Portland. Only 18K and change in the house.

It was another monkey off our back. Penalties need to be fixed if we are to have a shot against a team like Stanford. Hope the week will be a productive one in that realm.

With the amount of penalties that were called against us, especially in key situations, if ASU was a better team, we would have lost.

DBs are still getting torched just like last year. A good QB carves us up last night.

With the way we played today, Stanford should beat us handily. I'm assuming the coaches/players will be watching a ton of film and will be addressing all the errors/penalties/mistakes we made in AZ. Our O-line still needs work. I just hope we can make it competitive than a cakewalk for Stanford. Oldie Out So, that should tell you how good of a team Rocky has put together... Almost everything went right for ASU and they still got beat by 10 points, they were lucky to get in the game at all. It very easily could have been 37-7. We were that much better. The fact that you are questioning how we will play vs Stanford or suggesting that we will. It be in the game means you don't get it. SDSU may not win, but it will be a good game and Stanford will know they played a good team.

DBs are still getting torched just like last year. A good QB carves us up last night. Not true... Our defense in general and our DBs were very good. Those are outstanding WRs at ASU and our DBs are asked to stay in man more than most any other team and they held up very well. If not for a OPI that wasn't called and a stupid offsides called that extended a drive for ASU it could have been 37-7 last night.

How about that great 6:00 drive to essentially end the game?
BSU would have beat WSU by 14 if they could have put together a 6:00 drive at the end.
Least we forget, we held ASU to 6 points in the second half.

DBs are still getting torched just like last year. A good QB carves us up last night. That was a good QB I was pleasantly (very) surprised at how well our D played last night. We completely blew up their O line. Consistent pass rush all night with 4-5 guys. They could not run the ball at all - 44 total yds at 1.4 yds/carry!!! We held them to 342 yards of total offense, in their house, and they have a pretty talented bunch of skill position players. Very impressed by the defense.

Our pass rush was great and so was the run defense. Those things masked that our DBs were overmatched by superior athletes. Wilkins threw it up for grabs several times and got away with it. I hope we can improve on that weakness or continue to mitigate it.

Game was over when they played P.O.D.'s "Here comes the boom" in the pregame. They are straight out of San Diego and the first line of that song is "I never knew that a kid like me could take his mic around the world and flash the big SD"

Yes, we should have won by more, but our DBs were getting beat, especially deep, whether those balls were caught or not. Fortunately, we started getting more pressure on their QB in the second half. Anyway, if ASU's WRs are "outstanding" as you claim, I wonder how good Stanford's are.
