Say what you will about ASU this season, this is still a huge win for the Aztecs. The first road victory over a Pac 12 team (in their stadium) and the first time the Aztecs have ever beaten the Sundevils!
Congrats to Coach Long and Rashaad Penny! And all of the other coaches and players, too!
Well done, Aztecs! Well done!!

This is the kind of win I was hoping at North Carolina. We still have a lot of work left to do and a lot of fixes to make.
Oldie Out

I liked Rocky's response when he was asked how big of a win he thought it was on the road against a Pac 12 team. He basically said no bigger than the Conference Championship or other Conference games. He sounded like we obviously should have won, and that he expected to win.

Hard to believe we've never beat a pac team away until this evening. We beat Oregon State in Portland in 1975. I guess that doesn't count because it wasn't in Corvalis. But it was a road game against a PAC whatever team.

Winning a 50/50 game is nice. Beating Stanford next week would be a "HUGE WIN". Today was taking advantage of an opportunity that we felt we had a very good chance to win.

Yeah, but more often than not against Pac-Whatever teams we've blown those chances over the last 35+ years. It's huge to actually win on the road against a P5 team in their house. ASU has a lot of talent and, theoretically, they SHOULD be a lot better than us. They're not. Stanford is going to be TOUGH. I honestly don't expect we'll beat them - but it isn't impossible! Rocky's got this team believing. Believing in him, in themselves, and in this program. When a coach accomplishes that anything can happen! GO AZTECS!!!

With the way we played today, Stanford should beat us handily. I'm assuming the coaches/players will be watching a ton of film and will be addressing all the errors/penalties/mistakes we made in AZ. Our O-line still needs work.
I just hope we can make it competitive than a cakewalk for Stanford.
Oldie Out

Nice job guys. Free money. Couldn't believe ASU was favored. Except for the outside media illogical thinking there was, the reality was there was not. We expected the Aztecs to win. They should have beaten ASU by at least 17 to 21 points. I am looking forward to a great Aztecs win against Stanford. 34 to 31 Aztecs!!!

We have to be much more disciplined next week- cut way down on penalties. How many points were taken off the board because of losing our cool or not knowing the snap count?
