Cute. Thats what I wonder about the "centers" I read about here and hope they are 6 ft., 300 lbs. and can pull and trap instead of pay the 5, whatever that' is. I don't watch basketball but I do hope that Brian Dutcher will be able to turn the corner on recruiting the way Rocky & Co. has these past two years.

Second straight year that the first commit is from Texas. Last year, the first 3 commits were from the Lone Star State (QB Cam Roane, DE Mark Brown, and LB Caden McDonald)

"The rising senior has turned heads across the state after a strong junior year where he was named an AP Class 6A second-team all-state selection at QB as well as the District 1-6A MVP. I watched Barfield's highlight and thought, "Holy sh*t this kid can ball." Cedarious comes in at 5'10 178 pounds and runs a 4.38 forty. Barfield is the most athletic player on the field at all times. Cedarious can take over a game with his quick feet and breakaway speed; along with a beautiful deep ball in which he puts a perfect touch on. During his junior campaign, Barfield tossed the ball for 3069 yards, 33 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. The quarterback out of El Dorado is capturing the attention of a lot of D1 coaches, and you can expect more offers to start rolling in soon. There is no doubt that Cedarious Barfield is one of the hardest working athletes on the field and whichever program is lucky enough to land the kid--you're lucky." www.themillinial.com/sports-1/2017/4/8/know-the-name-cedarious-barfield

The pundits say he can play the slot, corner, wildcat, returner, etc.

He received offers from all of the service academies, so grades and character won't be an issue. 4.38 is blazing fast.

Add a QB with a strong arm and you have an offense that will be very difficult to stop.
4.3, 40 time. Az Hakim Part 2?

I hear you but we'd have to change a lot for a wr to become important in this offense. Certainly not until Chapman is gone. I see JH as very set on his ways. Throwing to WRs is a diversion to surprise the defense . Hope this kid is special and multi talented so he can play ST too.

With that speed and athletic ability and combined with his ability to see the field as a QB he'll be a great DB. He just has to give the position 100% and he'll have a great career.
