trust the Marketing dept will use I heart media outlets and other forms of media to get the word out of this FREE event - Come take a look at San Diego 's D1 football team
Also important for SDSU to do all it can to make this a great family event .

They did well with this one

This may be an idea which is too late, but I was thinking that to help bring in more attendance why not have some past football alumni be there to sign autographs for the fans? That might possibly help generate more excitement!

Other than the day we announced the move, I haven't heard much about SDSU besides stadium talk. Hope the marketing department does a better time than past years...

There were several interviews with Fox among our coaching staff in the weeks immediately following the new agreement. Several, and pretty well done. Fairly viral on social media. I thought the marketing dept did very well last year with the whole DP campaign, among other things. 37k doesn't come without marketing.

I do believe the latest "alumni email" I received was addressing this event as an opportunity to unite alumni. I believe. (Why am I only getting these types of emails NOW)? If I'm not mistaken, this will be the first Aztec football event post Chargers. Attendees will be able to visualize a possible soccer stadium, (and the possible future of Aztec football), just across the way, that will cost San Diego taxpayers, (who have shown they vote with their wallets and not their hearts), nothing. I remember stories of LSU Alumni reunions at this general area that drew more supporters than Aztec football games, (well, maybe not quite). To say that Aztec football is officially out of their comfort zone would be a colossal understatement. That makes me sad.

Chargers by the end of this weekend will be moved out .
So starting as soon as possible time to get this information out to every HS to Pop Warner Team about this Free Event . Also community leaders and all Media -from TV to radio to Social Media .
Of course any Coaches or players .... that can make appearances would help . Add a personal touch . Go to the San Diego communities and ask for ways to make this work . Or reach out to OC or Inland Empire .
Make it "Something Special Now " and really promote this Free event .

Stan, if only our marketing department (with plenty of able bodied interns and students, mind you) had the forethought and initiative to do such a thing. Unfortunately, the burden falls on us fans.

You are not trying very hard. One City. One Team! Lol Just keeping it real. If SDSU wants to reach more football fans, got to take it up a few notches. Nothing wrong with that. That's why we have critiques in art/design classes, yearly reviews for our jobs and Focus Groups for movies. Constructive criticism makes people better, just ask our football players. Oldie Out

Will they be having the clearance sale before the scrimmage this year? Would like to know because you need to get there several hours earlier if that's the case.
