LOL @ Mission Bay & La Jolla making the playoffs at 2-8. In order to have five divisions, the CIFSDS has numerically small divisions. Division IV only has sixteen teams and 12 teams are needed to fill out the playoff brackets. The teams that did not make the playoffs are: Del Norte with a 2 win, 8 loss season. The two wins were against D V teams. Mater Dei who were one win and 9 losses. Clairemont 1-9. Crawford who forfeited the season because of not enough players to compete. And thats the way it is. The problem stems from the geographically created leagues that mix teams of different enrollments into leagues. Some D IV teams play in leagues with stronger teams from higher Divisions and suffer losing seasons. Hopefully, one of the teams in the Section with a poor record will catch fire and upset a higher ceded team and make a run to the Championship game like El Camino did in the nineties. Anyway get out and watch these kids play their hearts out.

Some info about playoff tickets and playoff passes: CIF-San Diego Section 6401 Linda Vista Road, Room 504 San Diego, CA 92111 Phone 858-292-8165 Fax 858-292-1375 www.cifsds.orgPlayoff Ticket Ranges - There are only two playoff ticket ranges – Adult - Defined as anyone over 18 years old and Student/Senior = Student defined as anyone age 5 through age 18; Senior defined as anyone age 60 or over: Adult Student/Senior First Round/Quarterfinals $9.00 $6.00 Semifinals $11.00 $7.00 *Finals - Division V $13.00 $9.00 *Finals (Qualcomm) $15.00 $10.00 (*facility fee added for Qualcomm Stadium and for San Diego Mesa College) 10. PLAYOFF PASS The CIFSDS Playoff Pass for Football is on sale at the CIFSDS Office. One pass is $32.00; additional passes are $28.00 (limit of 3). The pass is the way to go. The advantage of the pass is that you do not have to stand in line, you get to go right in. High School fee takers are woefully under staffed and inexperienced to process a large crowd in a short time. The ticket sellers usually begin selling tickets during the JV game (about 3 hours before varsity game kickoff ). For playoff games the ticket both opens about half an hour before kickoff to sell 1500 tickets per side. Resulting in chaos and long lines.

PPR should be fun tonight. Most games will have cameras there till the end and capture all the highlights. Hope those predictions are correct.

I left with a running clock in the fourth quarter when the score was Highlanders 44, Sun Devils 0.
Helix played the triple option very well and moved the ball and scored often.

The Valley Center game turned out exactly as the NCT predicted. What are the chances of that? My favorite running back had another fine night with about 280 yards rushing. McClure from Vista also had a great night in a win.
