Hard to compete against the ACC. Dutch and crew are off to a rough start.

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Do we need another 6-5ish wing? Since I've never seen him play, really don't know what we missed out on. The lure of the big time school/conference is tough to compete with, it takes a special kid to look past all that, our time is coming. I hope it works out for him but he's consistent, first the PAC and now ACC, I believe we had the best opportunity if he's real good. Who knows.

This is the same NC State that woefully underachieved with a lottery pick point guard in Dennis Smith last season? The same team that fired Gottfried mid-season as a lame duck coach? The same team with Beejay Anya, Abdul Malik Abu, Terry Henderson, a future NBA center in Omar Yurtseven? I know it's the ACC, but unless Duke and North Carolina leave the state of North Carolina, the Wolfpack are third in their own state (at best, Wake Forest was a tournament team last season) Omar Yurtseven is awful, no way is he a NBA player NC State is a middle tier ACC school that got a pretty good up and coming coach, what happened last year doesn't really matter. No offense here, but you're dead wrong on both fronts.

Rough offseason so far. I do think we get Rooks but I'm not all that excited about him.

Once again...who needs to be accountable for recruiting..the entire coaching staff that's been in tact for many years
Their repeated failures in recruiting had led to the dismal performance on the court..trying to recruit against the big boys just ain't going to work when you are a program on the decline
They need to take a step back and start recruiting 3 star or below players
When you don't have a guy that can "close" deals, we won't have a chance
Ever since we lost Tony Bland and the Parrish report came out, we are declining rapidly and more so now than ever...
It's time to rethink the recruiting strategy...when you have 3 scholarships open right now, that's very concerning for any program..doesn't look like anybody wants to come here these days

would have guessed that he was heading to NC State after reading that he was very impressed with his visit there and not much after his visit here ,other then the usual runner up . Member of the ACC . Like it or not MW does not seem to get many recruits that excited .
So time for the coaches to hit the transfer circuit even more- believe we are number two for Vance Jackson also behind the Washington Huskies . Also 2018 HS recruits, after we get a Grad transfer that can play the 5 .
Time to lock and move this .

NC STATE gets both 6'5 SG C.J. Bryce high-scoring transfer from UNC Wilmington and 6'5 SG Devon Daniels transfer from Utah. Both play the same position and both will sit 1 and compete for a job.

From Mark Zeigler at the SDUT today: "Also passing on the Aztecs this spring are VCU fifth-year senior Ahmed Hamdy-Mohamed (TCU), Duke transfer Chase Jeter (Arizona) and Arizona State de-commit Kenny Wooten (Oregon). Local prep stars Brandon McCoy (UNLV) and Miles Norris (Oregon) listed SDSU among their five finalists before committing elsewhere."
