The 6'9 Power Forward Kenny Wooten decommitted from his second school. First it was Nevada, now Arizona State and he hasn't even played a minute in college basketball. Aztecs we're on his original list, but who knows? Jermal Baker goes from CAL to Kentucky in a week. Scout and ESPN both rate Wooten as a four-star prospect, while Rivals lists him as a three-star. as noted by jibron Dillon Brooks has hired an agent and heading for the NBA . Opening up another scholarship and need for another guy to play the 4 or 5 ? Wooten or McCoy or both ?

From the San Diego Union Tribune Today, "...Ahmed Hamdy-Mohamed, a 6-foot-9 graduate transfer from Virginia Commonwealth who would be eligible immediately, was on campus Friday for a visit. The Aztecs are also pursuing 6-9 Kenneth Wooten, a four-star high school senior who recently decommitted from Arizona State."

This dude just screams 2nd year transfer wherever he ends up. Especially if he goes to UCLA where he'd be sitting behind Goloman, Riley, Ike & others.
Sounds like we had a couple recruits in town over the weekend (at Dutch's for dinner with the team), so wouldn't surprise me if Wooten was one of them.

Only confirmed recruit that was mentioned this weekend was the grad transfer from VCU Ahmed 6'9". were there others or guys this weekend ?

Hemsley said they had a "few recruits" over at Dutchers for dinner, and referenced "you never know with freshmen" when talking about how recruiting was going. I don't think it was just the one. |
