If he is good friends with E. Brown why not follow him to the Ducks .? Wonder what happened to the Huskies .unless being the man with Lobos is so important? . Also better tell him about the MW TV deal - so he can see how few times he will be on prime time .

exactly, P5 schools find a way to suggest to current players that their PT may not be what they may want going forward so they may want to look at all their options - translation they may want to look at transferring .
Thought Vance seemed solid with the Lobos .

as is usually the case , if we sign him , he is an incredible player with loads of talent . If he goes to another school ..... he wanted to be a one man show - me rather then we , so we passed on him .

Although it bugs me that it appears he's stringing us along, he probably should take his time since he already made 1 wrong choice UConn. |

If we sign Jackson, and he helps lead us to MM, then we made the right decision. Hindsight will be 20/20. I could see the Bereal kid becoming a very good player, just from watching his mix tape, as others have already said he appears to be a Polee type player. Would have loved to sign him here. |

However, what a program has to offer - which includes PT and role - is a critical factor, so saying a player wants to be "the player" isn't a knock on the player. |

If things do not work out for us signing Vance - who do you think we have a good chance to sign of the 2018 HS recruits or transfers that play the 3 ?
Playing the Monday Morning QB with 20/20 . If Jaycson Bereal had said earlier this week he was ready to sign this week ( he did with BSU - after a visit here ) would you have made the commitment to him ? Do realize that may eliminate us from signing Vance .

As for the latter, if you have someone tagged as a Tier 1 recruit & you have a chance to sign him, you do. You believe they'll help your team. If you have them as a Tier 2, and Tier 1's are still on the table and you're getting a good vibe, then the Tier 2 guys are giving conditional offers & if they choose to sign elsewhere so be it. Have no idea what Bereal was to SDSU, but glad he stayed in conference. Good for all. |

Good for them and good for him. He'll get to be THE GUY, and have the offense running thru him (unless NM can turn recruiting around). Would have been nice to have him, but not all that concerned. He & McD are pretty similar.
Good for the conference. NM should be BAD next year, so this will help them recruit & help them turn it around a little quicker.

That's what is sad about sports these days, and you see it all the time on these boards and other boards. This type of stuff is disgusting and has turned me off from sports. The kid is considering a school and fans of that school love him. They say is a great player, great teammate and would make a great contribution to the team and make post after post how they want this kid and that they hope he comes, but then when that kid chooses to go elsewhere, those very same people go off saying how horrible the kid is and "we didn't want him anyways" ..."he sucks"..."Selfish and would been a horrible teammate"..."So glad we didn't get him"..."I hope he fails"...crap like that. Such a pathetic world we live in these days. And all of this is over a sport. A sport that have absolutely no barring on the future of that fan's life other than leisure entertainment. Yet has a huge impact on the future in and out of sports for the kid who is deciding where to go to school. Look, I grew up a massive sports fan. It was my life. But then I grew up. However, I still loved sports, and then I went to SDSU and fell in love with SDSU Football and BBall. I rooted for them hard and it sucked when we lost. I lost sleep over it. But then I fell back down to earth and realized, win or loss, for whichever of my favorite teams, it does absolutely nothing for my future. My future is created by myself and my career, not by how good SDSU is, or who they do or don't sigh. Therefore I find it absolutely low life pathetic and a sign of serious mental instability when someone threatens another over a sport or when someone verbally attacks a player or coach or even a fan of another team, or even just makes comments questioning a kids intelligence, personality, what type of person he just because he chose to go to a different school than your favorite school. A huge part of me wishes sports didn't exist. I love sports in general. I love sports more than I love my favorite teams. I also don't hate any teams. I also don't hate any coaches. Why would I? What have they personally done to me? Great if my team wins, and who the F cares if they lose. Means absolutely nothing for me and my future. I love SDSU as whole (School and sports) and I always wish them the best and I always want them to win, but if they don't or if some recruit decides not to come here...What on earth does that have anything to do with my future? What on earth does that have anything to do with any fan's future? Of course unless if you gamble a lot. But if you are gambling and then threaten players because they lost a game for you, well...there's no place for you on this earth. Standiego - I really hope what you said was sarcasm and mocking, and not what you actually believe. I took it as sarcasm and mocking, so if that is the case, please take no offense to my post.
