You also have to consider the extra things those big schools offered. Bush got his family a new million dollar house by going to USC.

Bush got his family a new million dollar house by going to USC. However, USC did get their national championship revoked that year. In my opinion the P5 schools are getting away with things that would have buried them 30 years ago. Did Tennessee ever get sanctioned for buying Tyler Brey away from his SDSU commitment? For buying his parents a house? The P5 acts omnipotent. Perhaps they are.

Sometimes a guy wants to go away to college but a good athlete especially a good football player with the Chargers hitting the road, should think about the potential of making money in media (advertising, etc) after they are done playing. Marshal Faulk hasn't done too bad in San Diego. So I would say, San Diego or Boise when I'm 55? I live up in Washington state and love road trips in San Diego.

Some kids don't want to compete for a spot, they like to be promised. Some players just don't fit into the program's culture. If it's not meant to be, move on to the next kid.

We don't do well with Helix guys. Yes we recruited him. I'm not sure on the recruitment of Noa but there are certain schools that programs don't recruit at. I was talking to a UCLA buddy this weekend and he mentioned that UCLA does not recruit one LA school because they do not have a good relationship with the head coach so they don't even step on campus.

Bush got his family a new million dollar house by going to USC. HAHAHAH that is very false. But I can see why you made the up, and I can see your true character too. First off, Bush's family never got a million dollar house. They didn't offer him anything when he committed to USC. But of course your ignorance doesn't want to look at the facts. What happened was, when Reggie was a Junior and already made up his mind that he wants to go pro, there were NFL agents throwing himself at him. One of the agents said that he owns a house in San Diego. It was vacant. He then told Reggie that he can move his family into that house for rent free. They didn't give the house to them, just rent free. Wrong of course. But, it had nothing to do with USC and recruiting. Just a careless mistake by Reggie away from football and USC. And the NCAA saw that violation worse than the child abuse sex scandal at Penn State.

Yes, we recruited him, but he wanted to get out of San Diego. Also, I guess he liked / got along with the BSU coaching staff more than ours.

In the end you can recruit a guy all day and all night but if he does not want to come here - he is not coming. There can be a variety of reasons that the recruit finds as his set of priorities . If the recruit tells the coaches he is not interested then the coaches move on to guys that do . So should we with Noa ?
