I only see two WR's left that are offered so far and one is a 4 star KJ Hamler. Cantrell Thomas 3 star is the other option so far.

It all starts with the quarterback. And we have an average one.....again. Not to mention our receivers are pretty average also. I will leave the porous defense up to other critics.

As far as this recruiting class Cam Roane is solid at QB ranked 22 overall and better than the QB Boise picked up who is ranked 32,Roane may be the best QB recruit ever,At Running back Chance Bell has over a 1,000 rushing yards through 5 games so he is on pace for more than 2,200 and Greg Bell lead the nation last year and is playing for AZ western and could join the team for next year plus the kid that was committed to Cal Poly.So running back is good to go.Oline and d line and wide receiver need to be recruited. |

Pumphery Hiesman watch, ESPN Games, #26 ranking and CBS Cotton Bowl predictions have to resonate with recruits. I doubt that will pull in the 4-stars, but it has to draw interest for all those players with a Chip on their Shoulder. Lately, we've been able to pull those guys in. Now and in the future.

After doing some quick research I am ranking SDSU 6th in the Mountain West in recruiting so far.After winning a few more games ESPN and media coverage should have players basically contacting SDSU as recruiting candidates to build a strong class but as of right now they are behind. #1 Boise #2 Nevada #3 Fresno State #4 Air Force #5 CSU #6 SDSU #7 SJSU #8 UNLV #9 USU #10 Hawaii #11 New Mexico #12 Wyoming So, like Rocky has said, "Don't believe the Star rating!" Just look at the two teams at the bottom of your list. Gee, didn't Wyoming win the Mountain Division this year, and played in the Conference Championship???!!! And New Mexico they had a winning season, and beat Wyoming in their matchup game! Recruiting is way more about coaching your players to play well than it is about their rank, especially when you consider those doing the ranking are prone to mistakes like us all. |

Big advantage playing in a Bowl are the extra practices - plus the opportunities to have guys come visit this month or even next , and talk with the guys who have been to a bowl every year ? By the way is the BSU coach interviewing for the Ducks job ? How soon before the CSU coach is also being looked at for a P5 job ?

We also tend to push most of our campus visits to after the season, rather than on game day weekends. A lot of time left. I'm with Fish'n - get the kid who's visiting this weekend (or was it last weekend) to commit & we'll be in even better shape! I have 3 or 4 players that are three star that are a lock to go to SDSU.I will post the names in a few. The word "lock" in any reference to recruiting/signing should be outlawed. : ) These days, nothing is a lock until they walk on campus. Hope you're right though. |

as we know from he past . No one is a lock until they sign in Feb . There are numerous flips in Jan as the trickle down recruiting starts to take shape from the top P5 schools down the G5 . As of today all are verbals , . We are as good as many p5 schools so they will not have much affect on us this year.They will poach from other teams in the MWC except for Boise State.And if we beat Houston expect some 4 stars to jump aboard. |
