Okay, back to the original question, sort of, does anyone know if Ezell Ruffin has qualified? The kid looks very good and would love to see him out wide for the Aztecs. Offensive Coordinator Al Borges on Ruffin: "He's just a flat, big time wide receiver - a great talent. He can run, jump, catch, return punts, run after catch; Ezell has the entire package. He could be as good a player as he wants to be." Those comments are eerily similar to the comments about a certain former Aztec receiver out of your area when he was a freshman. |

He could be as good a player as he wants to be." One of the coach's told me he would qualify. I am very high on him and think he is a impact player. I think he's got the ability to contribute quite early in his career on the Mesa assuming he takes care of business in the classroom. Plus he'll have two very talented receivers to show him the ropes this coming season. |

I am assuming you are talking about Jeff Webb out of LaQuinta HS; am I missing somone? Yessir, exactly who I was thinking of. Hopefully he'll be able to perform like him. Also, sorry, I got you mixed up with Nutz. I forgot you're in the IV area and not the Palm Desert area. |
