The good thing is that freaky troll or whatever it is now the 2nd ugliest thing on Win's posts You figure out what that "other thing" and tell me in civil terms and I will remove the changing image that seems to upset folks faced with the truth about Obama.

Nice way to get in a final political shot, but Duke, could you please remove the changing image. Thank you. =Bob

I was joking dude. And I personally don't care either way. I do think it's kinda tacky though.

Back on topic. Phil Steele rated our class as fifth in the conference. That's about as good as can be expected as of yet. I think we'll see a BIG jump in recruiting next year after all of the success we're going to have this year.

Though the cities and schools are different, the situation Hoke stepped into here is exactly the same. He said this himself. It's all about changing a loser culture; both players AND fans. But the advantage of building at SDSU is much superior than at ball State. With better assistants we will grow faster than at his last gig. I hate it when outsiders try to grade recruiting classes. Hoke is recruiting players that fit his system and mindset. He's not recruiting to Phil Steeles' standards. All in all, I'm excited about the future.

I'd prefer to see the forum intended for discussion of Aztec athletics limited to that without direct, indirect or subliminal expressions of our political or other views. I believe that Azec Mesa offers plenty of opportunity for those who wish to express their views on politics and a wide range of other subjects. Inserting them here is divisve and polarizing and neither relevant or constructive to discussing Aztec athletics, which is the one interest we share and can build a dialog (including debate) around.

I really want to take it down, but might be seen as wishy washy if I did it without you finding out what a "Tanuki" is. Opps, I let the cat out of the bag!

I liked the Tanuki suit in Super Mario Bros. 3: Your picture has always kind of given me the willies. From wiki: The legendary tanuki is reputed to be mischievous and jolly, a master of disguise and shapeshifting, but somewhat gullible and absent-minded. I guess it is like a norman rockwell or rembrandt self-portrait (also a joke, well...)

I wish our o-line line looked like BYU's. But they're all over 23 years old. I think their "missions" include a gym membership. Oldie Out lol, but sadly the truth.

Tanuki is often somewhat mistakenly translated as raccoon or badger into English, animals which are similar to tanuki in appearance, but are actually different species.Well, except that a tanuki is not a real species. Seems to me I came fairly close when I offered the observation that it is a badger. =Bob

Nice to see us pick up some young 280 pounders for the DL.
With a few extra burritos they'll tip 300 and help us forget Mustafa.
Oldie Out

Okay, back to the original question, sort of, does anyone know if Ezell Ruffin has qualified? The kid looks very good and would love to see him out wide for the Aztecs.
Offensive Coordinator Al Borges on Ruffin: "He's just a flat, big time wide receiver - a great talent. He can run, jump, catch, return punts, run after catch; Ezell has the entire package. He could be as good a player as he wants to be."

SDSU's football coaching staff is very high quality across the board now. It is the first time in a long time that Aztec Fans can truly say that. It is simply a matter of time now before the coaching will yield a consistent winning program. We must hold the course. It will happen.
