That our biggest selling point for leaf, others can say our players have no true positions but no one actually does and have the track record we do. Our Bigs can play 1-5 except for Spencer lol, not because he's not allowed he just can't go past the 4 lol.

Correct the Early NLI week is 11/11- 11/18 . Those commitments are binding ( other then BJ ) . Regular signing time starts again mid April . Recruit can verbal any time .

Shepard has played the 1-5 position , most of our guys play multiple positions . As do most other teams ,including UCLA and the Ducks .
In the end ,Leaf will decide where he sees the best fit for him , that he thinks will get him to the NBA the quickest . Question is also when he will make a decision ?, same as it is for other guys ,who may choose to decide in the Spring .

Looking at Leaf last night, he is a very skinny kid, and will be at least a two year guy. I don't think Pope goes NBA this year either. If Pope stays, and Leaf commits to SDSU, and we also pick up a decent big out of the JC or 5th year Senior ranks ------------------- SDSU is a threat to go to the final four!

Thanks for the NLI dates, agree that leaf needs to fill out a bit. However the real McCoy looked big to me last night. College ready body.

Pope is gone imo if he has the year most of us expect.
And as for Leaf being a 2 year guy, things can change, but lets just say Leaf and his people are very much looking to be 1 and done.

I like that we are serious about going up tempo this year. I think Leaf, and just about all other top recruits, will really like the benefits of that!

Leaf being at the game last night is a positive sign.

He will be going to SDSU,Thats why he was there and on campus a week ago and linking up with our players its pretty much 90% SDSU and 10% UCLA.THE ORIGINALSHOW00 IS ALWAYS CORRECT REGARDING RECRUITING.

I agree with many of the posts here regarding Leaf's attendance at the game being a good sign.
I spoke with a friend of his family this week (who spoke to TJ), and he said TJ was highly impressed with SDSU, the coaches, and got along with all of the players. He said he spent most of his time with Dutch, and felt comfortable with the staff. Liked the facilities and campus. No mention of timing on the decision, etc, but it was clear that SDSU is legitimately in the running....

Getting leaf would be huge but for a whole other reason than the ability he brings and the local kid side. Signing him would open the door for a Compton magic pipeline, they usually have a tremendous amount of talent and would love to access that. They currently feed ucla which sucks because that takes away from potential kids we could go after.

One of the AC's of UCLA used to help run the Compton Magic, so even if Leaf picks SDSU, the pipeline wouldn't really be there

That's where you have it wrong. The pipeline is not Compton Magic. The pipeline will come from Steve Alford. The guy is a noted douche bag and asshole. We know this because we saw his antics at UNM. Recruits see through this and is the reason why UCLA has not pulled a stud class in quite sometime. One of the AC's of UCLA used to help run the Compton Magic, so even if Leaf picks SDSU, the pipeline wouldn't really be there
