I have it at 80% SDSU 20% UCLA.The fact is he would play less at UCLA with the roster situation there and he wants to play. Scout has it 94% UCLA and 6% Oregon. However, those polls were taken in August, just after he de-committed from Arizona. The one recent prediction was Oregon. I believe a lot has changed since then and I hope the Aztecs can sign him.
I went to the "Open House" on Saturday. The JAM center is really nice. The locker rooms are very personal, with the players name, uniform #, player photo, position and home town. The display is backlit.....really nice. I talked to Hemsley, Narain, Perez and Shelton. All of them were a joy to talk to. I give credit to the coaching staff for recruiting such gentlemen.

I don't think it matters whether Pope goes to the NBA or not. Leaf is a Power Forward, Pope plays Small Forward. I hope TJ commits to SDSU and Pope stays. Imagine your 3 front court players all at 6'10"! Agree with this wholeheartedly. From the looks of things...I don't see Pope in a hurry to leave. The money will still be there. NBA isn't going out of business. In fact, the salary cap just went up. I don't know his background but doesn't seem like his family is in dire need of money. Hemsley, Pope, Leaf, Z is pretty nuts. Throw in a much improved Narain. Wow! Don't forget Caesear and Shrigley.

Don't forget Caesear and Shrigley. Shrigs will be gone. Maybe you mean Hoetz? Shrigley will be a senior next year, yo! Back to Stanback, Stanford is one of those schools that you really can't blame a guy for attending, it sets you up for a solid life post basketball if you apply yourself. With that said, SDSU Academics have come a long way since my tenure, and a hard earned degree from here carries much more weight than t used to. He can't go wrong either way. Now from a basketball standpoint, not even an argument....

Now from a basketball standpoint, not even an argument.... Agreed. You can't fault a kid for going to Stanford or any other school with a fantastic academic reputation. I applaud student athletes who are willing to challenge themselves both athletically and academically by choosing an Ivy League or similar university. Along with winning a National Championship and being accepted to a P5 conference, my dream for SDSU is to continue to improve its national academic perception. We have come a long way in the last 20 years but there is still room for growth. SDSU is such a fantastic place to go to school, and with the biotech companies and a bustling military population the local partnership opportunities are plentiful.

With the "NCAA situations " would not be surprised if he said he was going to hold off signing until the "regular" signing time in the spring . We know SDSU and the Ducks would hold a scholarship open or if another school jumps into the mix , he has the leverage until he Signs NLI.For UCLA all depends on if they can get a better guy before that ?

I had a dream last night that Leaf committed. Now it's definitely going to happen.

Idk this is a tough call but I think the longer he takes the better our chances, I also think we're not his first choice and he's waiting on ucla to see if they can guarantee him a starting job and minutes. As much as that is pretty lame, I'll take it lol. A top recruit picking us will open the door to that top 25 recruiting window that's been tough to crack. Our recruiting has improved tremendously over the years but we're still not going after top 25 talent except for the local ones. If signing leaf regardless of us not being his first choice or him demanding pt and starting position opens that window for us, I'll take it any day of the week. In fish we trust! I don't think any school can guarantee a blue chip recruit a "starting job and minutes." They're not simply given no matter how highly ranked you are. A recruit has to earn them.

Either he's waiting to announce on Signing Day or he's spending a lot of time thinking about his choice which is good for SDSU. It seems SDSU has the coaching he needs, the better opportunity for a starting position and closer to home. UCLA has the name.

We really need a guy to play the 5 on both ends of the court . We do not really have that , Narain is learning that now for 2016. he played the 4 in HS . He knows he needs to learn to play the 5 and add to his frame .If education is paramount ,would be difficult to beat Stanford or could look at Harvard . If he wants NBA opportunity then SDSU may have a chance . Do not see Stanford or Colorado in the mix for MM . Colorado if he prefers the snow .

It seems like he's mentioned on more than a couple of occasions that he may wait until the spring to sign. I would if I was him. He's narrowed it down to 3 schools so he wouldn't have to be bothered by lots of other schools during his senior year. He can get a handle on how good the UCLA freshman are and where he would fit in with them next year. He can see if anything comes of the "investigation" for SDSU and he can see how good a team Oregon is this year and possibly next.

Unless he gets hard sell from UCLA that they will not guarantee his scholarship could easily see him holding off to the Spring to see how things progress . Would make sense for him . Did UCLA start breaking ground on their new practice facility about $30 to $40 million , not sure on completion date ?

Uh, yeah. He will get a ton of minutes. He's elite. In his freshman year under Fish? is he on par with Leonard?

Yes, in his freshman year. He would start from day 1 in my opinion. On par with Kawhi? Who knows.

Who knows if he'd be as good in college, but he's definitely better coming out of high school. He'd get a ton of minutes in his freshman year if he came here
