Leaf is going to visit UCLA last weekend in October . Not sure if he has a visit this weekend ? Earliest he could sign NLI ,IF he really wants to is 11/11 . Can verbal or hold off until the spring/summer . Very likely if he is still undecided or worried about the NCAA situations

I'm trying to figure out if the utter lack of available info on his SDSU official is a good thing or a bad thing. Twitter, Rivals, Scout...there's literally nothing available on how it went. Purely speculative on my end, but hoping it's a positive.

Nobody should get their hopes up with TJ. I would be absolutely shocked if he came to SDSU.

I would have agreed with this a month ago, but the fact that TJ decided to take an official visit last weekend makes me think there is more that a longshot chance. I actually would be shocked if he chose Oregon. I expect that he will go to UCLA but I think SDSU has a legit chance.

Everyone is well aware that he's a big time UCLA lean, but thanks for letting me know I shouldn't get my hopes up, I'd hate to actually think for myself.

Leaf has an opportunity to become the 1st local 5 star recruit to sign with the Aztecs. It would go a long way in helping recruit future local stars. The signing of Leaf could possibly make it easier to sign Stanback. Signing with the Aztecs would mean much more to the city and fans of San Diego than it would the city and fans of L.A.
I have been to Pauley. With the traffic and horrible parking, I can understand why more fans do not attend games there. SDSU has a better facility and better parking. The arena is sold out on a nightly basis.
I do not know anything about the arena or parking at Oregon. All I know is that it rains almost everyday during basketball season, and they have trouble filling the arena for games.
I am a little concerned about UCLA being his final visit this weekend. But I hope he decides to stay home and play every home game in front of family and friends. The Aztecs should have a very good team this year and next.
2016/17 "Dream Team" (Note: there is nothing wrong with dreaming)
G - Hemsley G - Kell or Gill-Caesar F - Pope (if he plays Jr. year) F- Leaf C - Stanback
Bench: Shrigley, Allen, Cheatham, Narain, Hoetzel, Williams Redshirt: McDaniels

Even if Pope goes, Zylan can man that 3 spot, he's athletic enough and a strong enough ball handler to play some perimeter ball a la Shep. 2 of those spots are still massive "if's", and even so, Narain is a high level 4 man, just need to lock down a legitimate low post threat and defender. The future is very bright for this team.

IF TJ LEAF WAS READING THIS THREAD THEN HE CAN SEE THAT SDSU FANS AND SAN DIEGANS IN GENERAL REALLY WANTS HIM TO STAY HOME. THERE ARE AT LEAST TWO TJ LEAF THREADS ON AZTECMESA WITH A COMBINE 13,000 VIEWS AND AT LEAST 600 POSTS. IF HE WERE TO VISIT THE UCLA OR OREGON BASKETBALL FORUM THEN HE CAN SEE THAT THERE ARE MAYBE TWO THREADS WITH A COMBINE POSTS OF LESS THAN 10. NOBODY AT UCLA OR OREGON REALLY CARE THAT MUCH ABOUT TJ LEAF. IF HE WERE TO JOIN UCLA OR OREGON THEN HE COULD BE JUST ANOTHER GUY ON THE ROSTER AND IF HERE WERE TO JOIN SDSU THEN THE SHOW AND THE WHOLE CITY WILL FOLLOW HIM FROM THE TIME THAT HE STEP ON THE CAMPUS.

I am very excited about the 2015/16 team as well. The likely "Fisher 8" are:
G - Hemsley, Kell, Allen F - Shepard, Pope, Cheatham, Chol C - Spencer

Leaf would be the biggest SDSU recruit ever, made even bigger by the fact that we finally kept a big fish home. That being said, still a longshot in my eyes. His "official" visit wasn't a true official, FYI. He didn't stay overnight or hang out with the players (at least for an extended time), he was just on campus for a day with his parents doing one last tour of the campus, etc. I think Foothills Christian had scrimmages or something this weekend.

Leaf, Bailey & Stanback. (Brandon Cyrus has an offer but the Aztecs haven't been recruiting him hard.) Buckle up.

Many of us won't be waiting till he's on campus, TJ commits to SDSU I'll be attending many of his HS games.
