UCLA has signed 4 guys from the Compton Magic AAU squad; Jaylan Hands, Jalen Hill, Kobe Paras, Ike Anigbogu and potentially TJ.

I do not see UCLA as a favorite.I think all three are being equally looked at. SDSU could win against Oregon or UCLA.They defiantly are not better programs so this should be a easy choice. |

From obviously an outsider's point of view... I think he's doing the right thing. UCLA was probably his favorite but I do like that he's doing his due diligence. He's giving SDSU every chance possible to make a case. He's been on our campus numerous times. Played with Pope on the U-19 team briefly this summer. Knows Fisher's accomplishments and ability to get a lot out of 1,2,3 star players in the past. He knows in 2016, he will have a starting spot and that he'll be surrounded by good transfers who will be eligible, Hemsley, Z, and Narain. I can only see the NCAA investigation (if it actually becomes one) being the main factor of him not committing. He would have eliminated SDSU a long time ago if being close to home wasn't a factor. Jaylen Hands did. As may Ayton and McCoy. Getting Leaf may be what gets us over the hump in recruiting. Getting Kawhi got us consistent 4 star players, Leaf may be the start of getting us a few more 5 stars in the future outside of Pope and Shep. completely agree with this^ |

We can only hope. It(landing Leaf) would really be a big step in trying to land a few very highly ranked kids.

in 2016 with Leaf, and returners Hemsley, Cheatham, and the rest, add MGC, JMD, Max, Narian, possibly Pope if lottery pick is questionable and he'd like 1 crack at final 4 or better  I know others are thinking this too, hard to believe a major sports championship will ever happen in SD with the SD sports curse and all...BTW I cheered for the padres in the early 70's, even though they were not good. I'm still not over the "holy roller" play that prevented the chargers from beating the Raiders in the playoffs. Many felt the chargers had the most talent, and were the best team that year, but yet again we SD loses on a FLUKE play. The 94 super bowl embarrassment, we were not competitive in our lone world series against Detroit. You get the picture, I know TJ wasn't even born yet, but he and the other beloved Aztecs could roll back all of this and bring something special to San Diego. Guess this pertains to TJ right? |

But that loss did end up costing the Chargers a berth in the playoffs that year. Also, I second your (Anthony's) feelings on San Diego's apparent curse when it comes to sports. Too many fluke plays, no championships whatsoever (I don't count indoor soccer, volleyball, or AFL championships). Maybe in my lifetime.....but probably not. |

The allegations and investigation could last more than a year. Hopefully, it's nothing huge. BTW, UCLA has more serious allegations that have surfaced as well. |
