. Now is the best time, wait and you are stuck. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards Stuck only for another year lol. You honestly think we can get boise, byu and 5-9 more worthy enough schools to join us within a few months? look, I agree that is the better deal in the long run, but it has to have more foundation underneath it to do it. I do. I have outlined it over the past few weeks on occasion. It is no harder than our previous airport meeting. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

But don't think it is a option sterk has this month with the deadlines he has. This will effect our upcoming season, right? so, MWC and BE seem like the only possibilities for the upcoming season.

Slandering who? I understand the meaning. You have to have a target and then a falsehood. I see neither presented. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards I wasn't saying it to you lol. A guy in this thread saying something is a bad Idea but not laying down the facts. He just likes saying it's a bad idea lol. I then gave my standpoint and he called me a drunk lol. So I told him before he slanders again, he should know what he is talking about...or at least respond with facts supporting his claim, rather than just disagreeing. see with you, you actually disagreed with my view but laid down facts to support it. You laid down really good facts, of which I agree with...in the long run of this school. I was thinking you were talking about criticism of the conference! No worries. Enjoy! The next few days are gonna suck as I have no confidence that our leaders have the guts to do this. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

I can't make up my mind. At first I was thrilled with the Big East then with Boise going back to MTN I went that way. Then after reading Ziegler's piece last week I was back to siding with Big East and now I'm back to thinking we should stay in the MWC. I need therapy.Maybe we can get a therapy group discount.

Had a feeling you got a bit confused who I was saying that to. But oh well, was just joking about it. This is the internet. I didn't get offending by his slandering lol. Was just calling him out on it and giving him some helpful advice. i agree, but to be honest, this school is going in the right direction and has a bright future regardless of what conference they choose for the upcoming season. Both will put them in a good position to be successful and keep building.

Nothing is impossible, but at this moment in time the 3rd conference is highly unlikely. If for no reason other than the practical time constraints. Setting up football schedules and getting that many quality institutions in time to make it a reality just isn't in the cards right now. What we need badly is a 2-3 year safe harbor where we can weather this storm and have sufficient revenue to keep our program afloat. While doing so it is imperative that we win on the field and plan for the next go around off the field. Heaven knows I am not an MWC fan (I never have been) but the nBE has as many, if not more, stability problems as the MWC. Our choice will, of necessity, be driven by pure economics not my or anyone else's preferences. On that score, the real financial facts are just not known to we fans. It would help me immensely if I knew, but then again I really wouldnt expect Sterk, the MWC or the nBE to share information. Fred Noonan.

The next few days are gonna suck as I have no confidence that our leaders have the guts to do this. Agree, and it does suck. Maybe we'll be proven wrong. I still have faith in our AD and President, it is the other Presidents, ADs and conference leadership that I've lost trust in. The lack vision, IMO.

Sterk and Hirshman know 10 times more than any of us. I trust them to make the best decision.

Our real goal is the PAC-16 or in lieu of that multiple national championships in football and basketball. Larry Scott......are you listening? ?

In which "other" presidents and AD's have you lost faith? Fresno's? Wyoming's? If Sterk has the kind of vision I think we're both talking about, he's on the phone with the following "leaders" and creating a brand new league: SMU Houston AFA Tulsa Nevada UNLV New Mexico South Florida Central Florida Temple Tulane Memphis East Carolina Navy LA Tech or Lafayette (which is actually the University of Louisiana). This would be ten thousand miles better than the MWC even with Boise. I'd say many of them in your list. I'd like to think that there has been contact but I am not seeing any indication of movement, sadly.

Heaven knows I am not an MWC fan (I never have been) but the nBE has as many, if not more, stability problems as the MWC. You won't get the safe harbor and the revenue you are seeking in the MGC. With the money they are collecting from Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Rutgers, and Boise State it is the BE who has the Benjamins and not the MGC. After blowing their wad on Boise State who in their right mind thinks that we will get more revenue from the MGC? The level of competition for football is also better in the BE than the MGC which will better position us for a possible move to the Big12 or maybe the Pac12 when the superconferences form....which they will. The question is does our AD and President have the backbone to stay the course in the BE? I am getting a sinking feeling they don't, but then again I never thought Sterk had any backbone to take any risks, which we have to if we are to survive as a Division 1A program.

We created the PCAA with Long Beach Fresno, UCSB, San Jose.
May be we should have built it up?

Ugh, I've got to agree with the sentiment that this really is a decision Sterk and Company have to make between two bad options. Which one is worse? I don't know.
The nBE is in trouble, but would likely offer more money (and lower costs for all the rest of our sports). Financially, short term, this is the better deal. The MWC is in trouble, too, but offers some closer geographic rivals and is a MUCH better place for our basketball team. Unfortunately, the MWC money may be half or less than half of that of the nBE.
If Boise had stayed the course with the nBE or if we could get Fresno to come in with us (even if for 2014) then I'd say the nBE is the way to go. If not??? Got a quarter? (Flip that coin...)

There is a very workable third option, similar to the origin of the mwc. New conference. Why do so few people get this? It shouldn't be so hard to understand. U miss something that takes ballss

We created the PCAA with Long Beach Fresno, UCSB, San Jose. May be we should have built it up? And, sadly, some of those schools no longer have football including UOP, etc. And, while we still have a football program we never feel very safe, at least I don't.
