Really? Run the ball? Run the ball so much that you entirely develop no rhythm on offense and lose enthusiasm. Do absolutely nothing to get the ball in the endzone. And when it is that BYU's offense starts to come around, you decide to throw the ball, damn well knowing that their defense is going to pin its ears back and come for the QB.
we ran ourselves out of a possible win tonight.
WHat type of game playn was this? it fell right into BYU's hands.

Rocky leaves the O up to Ludwig. It's Ludwig's fault.

Newsflash: We've been doing it all year. It did win us alot of games. Katz and Dingwell rarely threw for more than 170 yards.
However, this offense wont work against good defenses who stop the run. We need more balance. Did we throw a 50 yard pass all year?

The game plan was the one we've been running all year.. run the ball first, then pass.
And in the middle of this meltdown, people are overlooking BYU's defense. Clearly the best one we've played all year.

Rocky leaves the O up to Ludwig. It's Ludwig's fault. I assume Ludwig consults with Rocky, right? I assume Rocky has some say in the flow of the game. He is the head coach after all.

LMAO...running the ball was so obviously the right game plan.
We'd have lost by 50 if we'd been passing the whole game.

Our receivers can't catch...what are you supposed to do? At least Muema is damn near all-american! You know what you get from him. There have been times this season when the other team knew we were running and still couldn't stop it.

What was up with the punts... Leaving no one back cost us field position and the game

Should I put it another way...if you can't block their best player, it's best to run right at him. You saw what happened when we had to pass. Muema did have over 100 yards against a top 5 run defense. I had no problem with the gameplan. In fact, it was a passing play that turned the game around - the sack/fumble/touchdown.

It is true, the offensive line could not hold back the BYU front 7. They were very good. For God's sake they owned BSU and ND this year.

The difference between passing, and HAVING to pass, is tremendous. THe game Plan put us in the position to HAVE to pass. IF we would have taken advantage of the moments is the game when we had the momentum and thrown the ball, things would have been much different. Dingwell was put in a position where there was one outcome. We had opportunities to put this game away early, but instead, we decided to run the ball, again and again puttng us in the the position to HAVE to throw the ball.

Well I'll agree some more playaction to Escobar, or a screen or two, would have been nice to see. But other than that, I was fine with playing conservative while I our D was playing well.

We didn't run the ball enough, was the problem. If we rub the ball instead of passing from our one in the 4th quarter, we win this game.9

Turnovers cost us this game. Now I'll be surrounded by all my BYU relatives at Christmas enduring the condescension.

When in the name of Christ are we ever gonna get some real size on the lines? It was the speed of foot not the size. In a very un BYU fashion, they were big and fast. They blew chad young up in the hole tonight.
