I'm looking at our roster and I see the possibility of us playing an ALL Forward line up at times. Chase and X are obviously going to start, but when we make subs, we can really get creative. If Fisher is deadset on playing the best guys regardless of position, then this can work.
6'5 Jamaal- Can do it all, guard 1-4 6'7 O'brien- Has guard skills and ability to play 1-5 on both ends 6'8 Polee- Solid, athletic wing, can guard 2-4 6'8 Winston- Long, athletic with decent handles, can guard 1-5 6'8 Deshawn- dunking, rebounding, running gazelle.
We'll be the most athletic group in terms of running the floor, rebounding and finishing. 4 guys can bring the ball up and initiate offense at any time. 4 guys can get a rebound and push it up the floor immediately. This line up allows fisher to work Winston into the rotation in a position where he'll obviously be more skilled than the other teams big. Most teams can't match this combination of size and athleticism, somebody is going to have a huge mismatch. We have the biggest "small ball" line up in College Basketball.

I can see this lineup working for stretches here and there... thats what I love about this year's team. While our starting 5 may take a while to establish, we have great bench depth to really mix things up this year. No team in conference outside of UNLV can match our versatility. Going to be a great race for the conference title.

As you demonstrate, the variability with which we can switch up our lineup with so little drop off in athleticism gives Fish a virtually unlimited number of options to create mismatches in almost any game situation... Five forward set? No problem. Four guard set? No worries. Uptempo? Sure thing. Clock-killing lockdown D? We got this. We're going to be a nightmare matchup for most teams we play.

Did O'Brien play in a summer league? Having sat out a year, I would think it would have been helpful for him to get back in the competitive flow.
What are his strengths? What will Fisher ask of him and should we expect him to contribute the most?

Good luck getting any points with that line-up..Only legit scorer 1-5 is Jamaal and he's playing point. Winston, Polee, and Deshawn are all wings who struggle to create their own shot, especially down-low against more physical bigs.

He'll be killing even more! Deshawn, Polee and O'brien are all better scorers than you think.

One of X and Chase will be on the court at all times, they won't go out at the same time except in the case of injury or both being in foul trouble.
And, I'd rather LBF paired with Chase and/or X which is what will happen.

And, I'd rather LBF paired with Chase and/or X which is what will happen. You sound very confident. I'm just as confident that the opposite will happen. Of course we'll see LBF in some games. But in big games when it matter most, LBF won't see the floor...and Rahon won't see it much.

-That might be the case (Fish loves Rahon - he'll get his minutes) But, if Fisher has been consistent with anything it is that guards he trusts, are not off the court long, and almost never off at the same time - Richie and DJ, Dj and chase, Chase and Thames. When games and minutes matter, Chase and THames will be on the court the majority of the time and at least one of them on the court at all times - LBF will be teamed with X or Tapley, rahon will play 3 or play 2 with Thames

we won't see that lineup, maybe not even for a possesion all season, but we'll see
thames/lbf tapley/thames Rahon Franklin Stephens/Polee
so, you say 5 forwards, instead we'll see much more 4 guards

But we'll never see O'brien AND Polee on the bench while Rahon and LBF are in the game. Never.

And another thing, Polee won't be at the 5 spot.

We'll see Rahon and LBF on the floor together, maybe with Obrien and polee on the floor as well, maybe with them both on the bench. but, we'll see it. Obrien and polee might start at 4 and 5, and we might see a second team with lbf tapley/thames Rahon Franklin/stephens stephens/Johnson

Problem with this lineup is shooting. I could see a lineup like that if you replace Tapley in for O Brien or Polee.

LBF won't be getting much playing time unless something went very wrong.
