Scott Sommer is taking over for the almost never used SDSU scout site, he is a really hard worker and I am sure will do a great job updating content.

he is responsive on twitter. But I dont know how much more money I can continue to shell out on all these recruiting sites. I might need to stop eating.

Also just browsing Scouts payment plans they seem a lot cheaper than rivals.

Is it true that Scout gives you access to the whole site rather than just the SDSU section?

I was going to post this, but it looks like insider beat me to it. Scott Sommer has been working really hard on the recruiting circuit. I have also heard that Edward Lewis is not coming back to Rivals.
I am definitely going to be on Scout way more than Rivals. I like Scott Sommer as a news source much more than Rivals without Edward Lewis.

It's a good sign when once-dormant SDSU fan sites are coming back to life.

I think Scott will do well, as does (did??) Edward at Rivals. Scott seems genuinely excited for this opportunity and will probably make the most of it. I will sign up, its like $48 for a year.
Also, I think Scott is based out of LA, which for me as a basketfall fan, will be nice since thats where 90% of our recruiting takes place.

He's actually based out of North County San Diego, but he is up in LA and Orange County just about every weekend. He goes to every basketball event in LA and Orange County with Neal Nieves, who is a pretty big name in the recruiting world as well.

It'll be interesting to see how closely he'll be working with Neal Nieves, who is now a rivals employee.

Is it true that Scout gives you access to the whole site rather than just the SDSU section? Yes. If you get it, youll get all sports.

Just wasn't sure if people thought a move would result in the lack of coverage you saw before Edward.

Word is Neal might be helping Scott out at Scout, which would be awesome!
