UCLA just offered this RB from San Diego. Are the Aztecs on him? He looks pretty good with great speed. Another Hillman.

Yes, the Aztecs are looking at him. He is a very good player and I want him. I'm surprised we haven't already offered. This kid has good size and speed, speed and more speed.

Then if we haven't offered it's dumb, dumb, dumb!

I been high on this kid since last season. He should've had an offer then. I guess Rocky doesn't think we have a chance in hell.

Judging by our not offering this guy, I have a feeling Rocky is looking to go to larger backs, a la Alex Howard.

With only Walter Kazee graduating and the log jam of Brandon Wright, Adam Muema, Dwayne Garrett, De'Saan Hardwick, Chase Price, etc, running likely isn't on the top of the list for 2013 recruiting. So far, these is are the RBs SDSU has offered so far:
Craig Lee (Redlands HS Redlands, CA) 4-star on Rivals In 2011-12, rushed 169 times for 1,534 yards and 15 TDs. Had 14 receptions for 201 yards and 2 TDs.
Aaron Baltazar (Eastlake HS Chula Vista, CA) 4-star on Rivals, soft commit to Washington In 2011-12, rushed 49 times for 242 yards and 2 TDs, 5 receptions for 73 yards, and one defense, made 55 tackles, 15 assisted tackles, and 1 INT
Donnel Pumphrey (Canyon Springs HS North Las Vegas, NV) Scout.com claims he could be the top running back in Nevada this upcoming season. Rushed for 1,647 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior after going for 1,014 yards and nine more scores his sophomore year
Pumphrey so far seems to be SDSU's best bet. Only the Aztecs have offered him. Smart student (3.0+ GPA) and fits the mold of the small, Oregon Duck speedsters (Oregon has shown interest too). Baltazar is versatile and seems to be more suited in the defensive side for the Aztecs, and Lee is receiving the most attention from traditional BCS schools

If he stays local it will be usc or ucla so no reason to even waste our time.

Or are you saying that about someone on the current roster? Because that would be highly unlikley considering what a stud this kid is.

De'saan Hardwick would disagree.

De'saan Hardwick would disagree. Of course, it does beg the question: If Rocky feels we're "loaded" at RB and rates Hardwick as better, why would he pursue this new kid? Or was that incorrect information about SDSU "pursuing" Cormier?

Or was that incorrect information about SDSU "pursuing" Cormier? K5 is full of it. He's just downgrading Cormier because we're not targeting him. As a former Warhawk I like both kids but Hardwick couldn't hold Cormier's cleats. He's faster, more explosive, more elusive, and will probably start as a true freshman at a BCS school while Hardwick will be lucky to crack the #3 spot at SDSU. Hardwick might be a more powerful runner but even that’s debatable.

Cormier hasn't even been able to break the 11 second mark yet. You should stick to talking USD Football.
