Here's a bit of SDSU history. Actually, I should say SDSC, since this story goes back to the 1930s when it was still a state college. My mother was the victim of some sort of foul-up at Fullerton Junior College (from which institution I graduated in 1962) and had to do an extra semester (or more). I think she was also a victim of bad counseling at State which held up her graduation even more.
Anyway, she graduated in 1939, though she should have been class of 1937.
Where humans are involved, mistakes can and will happen. Count on it.

I did a Google search of "Perry Jackson not admitted" and the only related result was this thread. So before everyone gets PO'd and grabs their pitchforks, I cautiously say, "Consider the source." I heard this on the radio today as well while I was driving home from work and after the announcement I screamed out "F**K!!!!!!!!" but then I thought, "wait, it's Hacksaw" and I was able to calm down.

Garrett? What's the deal with Garrett? I thought he was practicing and is currently 3rd on the depth chart.

I would rather wait until it's confirmed that SDSU has been in some way negligent in this matter. Some here aren't willing to wait for the evidence before passing judgement (ala the sensationalist Hack___).

I'm anxious now, to find out. This kid has some great reviews thus far, we need the help at this critical position.

There could be something to this as both Williams and Jackson were from Sierra. Maybe there is an issue with Sierra and the validity of some classes in SDSU's eyes...

According to goaztecs.com, Jackson enrolled for the Spring Semester. Goaztecs if often as updated at Hacksaw, so pick your poison.

Guys it's Hacksaw....
Jackson is on both the Roster and Depth Chart while Williams is on neither, if they were both having admittance issues why would one be on the roster and the other wouldn't?

I certainly hope it was a mistake, but we've had our share of head scratchers over the years that I wouldn't be shocked.

I can buy a mix up in a 30k student university where you or I are concerned (I had my own issue with administration), but this is a college athlete on scholarship. Its different, and should be treated as such. SDSU should be working in conjunction with Sierra or whatever JC it may be, letting them know EXACTLY what needs to be taken care of. Take the word of someone who has been there - things get lost in the shuffle. I applied to SDSU for the fall of '70. Unfortunately at the end of the spring semester at City College I had 59 units and they did not allow summer school to count. So they went back to my HS transcripts and those were so bad there was no way I could get in. So I had to do a 5th semester at City (and faced the draft because of it due to them claiming I wasn't "advancing" my degree). So it came down to winter break. Sometime in January, '71 I hadn't heard anything so I called the admissions office. Got told that somehow they'd neglected to send me my letter of acceptance, would do so immediately and, OBTW, I would be registering the last hour of the last day (incoming JC transfers were given the same priority of incoming freshmen then). Registered for 3 graduate seminars and an upper division class I didn't have the pre-reqs for, all in archaeology - registration was very loose back then. To make a short story long - SDSU is a desirable destination for a ton of students, even if it was back in the "old days", and screw-ups happen. I don't condone it at all, given that if I hadn't made the call I would have been screwed, but I do understand the fact that with large numbers come a certain amount of screw-ups and it's not just this or that athlete who is affected by them. =Bob

We seem to have bad luck with these things but it would of been in the UT today for sure and it wasn't so lets hope for the best.

Why do you folks hate Hacksaw so much? Dude pimps the AZTECS when ever he can. Most of the stuff he says are over blown (for radios sake), unfortunately, almost always true.

I don't understand it at all pssst13. He talks Aztecs when most don't. He is very fair with his talk about Aztecs. He tries to help promote Aztecs... And Aztec fans dog him all the time.

Probably because he blatantly lies or dishes out half truths as if they were 100% fact.
The guy is awful on the radio.
