I don't know about that... I think (esp. before Johnson becomes eligible) Spencer comes in with a chance to earn a starting spot at the 5 based on his defense and rebounding. He could wind up playing anywhere from 15-30 mins a game -- probably will depend on who Fish thinks will play the best interior defense between he and Stephens (& then Johnson). Based on what I've read, at the very least that's gonna be one heck of a battle!
(all of which is good news, competition between numerous good/very good players means an excellent team on the floor with great depth)

With who we have coming in/returning I don't see any way Fish gets Spencer 30 mins a game. Probably more like 10-15 minutes a game. I'd say closer to 20 minutes, which is why I put progressions based on per minutes played (30) to give a better clue of what I expect from him as a freshman.

Skylar finishes his high school career tonight. Skylar Spencer had 17 points, five blocks and four dunks for Price in their loss to Sierra tonight.

"There were so many prolific dunks by Price's 6-foot-8 Skylar Spencer that NBA players would have applauded. He finished with 17 points, five blocks and four dunks, but in the end, Serra was able to get defensive stops in the final minute and convert clutch free throws to earn the victory."

"There were so many prolific dunks by Price's 6-foot-8 Skylar Spencer ...." 6-foot-8? I thought I had read he was 6-10 or 6-11.

was 6'8" with comments from his mother that their doctor thought he would have another growth spurt. Maybe he could cruise down to the game tonight and compare his height with G.Green or J. Johnson

This video has some better highlights from Spencer. BTW, it was uploaded by MGRADS, the same guy that does the videos for the Hamilton brothers. I would love to see those guys come over to SDSU with Skylar and company.

EVERY shot was a dunk! Won't be able to do that on the next level. Hope he's got some jump shot ability!

It crazy. Watch the video, and the first 7 minutes he looks good, agile but not THAT explosive. Then watch him around the 730 mark, to the end of the video. He looks very explosive. It is night and day.
