I wasn't going to go, but I seen that the tickets are going for 5 bucks, I had to snag 2. Not bad Plaza Level seats. At the lease sell out this game to see what kind of team we have this year.

I lived in Lincoln NE for 3 years, and it cost me $5 dollars to get into a SPRING football game. Forget about the regular season games, the Husker old timers had them on lockdown.

Are you serious? The deciding factor to whether you go to the home opener is that seats are $5 instead of $11. I don't mean to be an Ahole, but are you saying that the $6 per ticket is the difference between you going to the game or not. I mean you are on a message board, so you have to be somewhat of a fan. The prices for the Aztec games are absurdly cheap. I mean $11. You can't go to the movies for that.

The ticket cost is a loss leader. The real bucks are in the cost of popcorn, beer and/or cocktails. The Nickel State game is a promo for beer sales. The Fred Noonan School of Navigation.

Maybe our top flight marketing dept. can start ads on the radio/tv/UT urging people to drive to the game and skip the trolley, etc. The Fred Noonan School of Navigation.

This is my first season as a 21-year-old Aztec fan. How much are beers at the Q?
This is strange territory for me, you know, drinking legally and all.

All I was saying is that, at $5 per ticket and being a fan, there is no reason why I, A FAN, should not be there to support MY team. Maybe I didn't make that clear, so sorry for the confusion.

I think beers go anywhere grom 8-10 bucks. Drink as much as you want out in the parking lot before you come in to the game to save yourself some money.

Thanks Andre. That is exactly what I mean. $11 per ticket is a very, very low price. I think the marketing department should push the value of Aztec Football. It is a great family deal.

If I can jump in here, I'll just say that although $11 isn't squat to most of us (I sometimes spend more than that at Starbucks in a day), we don't know bill456's economic situation. For example, my first job out of SDSU was as the sole professional staff person for a small nonprofit which had very little money to offer - which is primarily why I got the gig. It didn't pay anything but it was great experience and dad SGF was 100% correct in encouraging me to take it. Anyway, as a result, I had to scrimp and save in any way I could to make ends meet during the two years I worked there until getting a resume which allowed me to change jobs and get about a 50% raise. Maybe bill456 is in similar circumstances or maybe he's been laid off and can't find anything in this terrible economy.
