3 more wins and its bowling time, again. looking at the sched, UNLV, New Mex and pick another - two years in a row in a bowl is an accomplishment the Aztecs haven't approached in a long time...

Here's a positive...All American Grill had a packed house to watch an Aztec football game at 9am. That alone shows how far we have come..........

Ronnie ran for more than 100 yards again.
His fumbles in his biggest game may make scouts a little weary.
Our D, esp. the DB's, lay the lumber (today they were too aggressive).
DJ Shields had a highlight reel block.

At least it was not another close loss and the Aztecs will actually learn from their mistakes made this game.

DJ Shields had a highlight reel block. The fumbles are not a problem, his vision is not a problem, his speed is not a problem. What Ronnie needs to work on is pass blocking, good route running, and 10-20 pounds of muscle. But you don't have to tell him, he already knows and is working on those aspects of his game.

His biggest knocks is his pass protection, which again today was Ole and his size. They actually go hand in hand..... That was my point. If Ronnie wants to be a 1st or 2nd rounder, he needs to get bigger and not be pigeon holed into a 3rd down back.

The Defense was able to make adjustments and hold michigan for the 2nd half (credit the the last td to fatigue)...
Offense - What's the chances that unit plays that badly for 4 quarters again?
Much to learn from here and Rocky will make use of that. I am thinking TCU is going to wish that they were not next in line.

once adjustments were made, our D completely shut down a top-25-BCS team for about 1/3 of the game
they'll only get better, which is promising

I think the positives in this one are easy. After a stinker of a first quarter, we went into the fourth quarter with multiple chances to get back in the game. We made a bunch of mistakes, but we don't suck in general.
We are not Maryland, which was down 31-0 to Temple AT HOME and lost something like 38-7, or Minnesota, which lost by 13 to North Dakota State AT HOME.
Losses are ugly, as ours was. That's the nature of sports. Onto the bye week and the next game.

1) Coach FIN and OL know exactly what they need to do to improve and dominate going forward. OL play will be key going forward; I would call out coach Fin if OL don't improve. 2)The Entire offense needs to find what they need to improve on and take a step forward; 3) Stupid media, trying to make a story out of the defensive signal changes, what else can they say; 4) Good to find out your weaknesses early in the season. 5)Defense playing tough and good to see! Go STATE...walkonfan...

Minnesota lost last year to SOUTH Dakota in their brand spanking new stadium. If I was a Minnesota grad, I would be irate right now.
