Has anybody heard about Jackson's rehab and how he's doing? Will he be a factor this season?

Has anybody heard about Jackson's rehab and how he's doing? Will he be a factor this season? rehab is done and over with for him. he has been full go for several months now. he could have participated in spring but the dates of spring ball were on the borderline for him getting cleared. So they just decided to sit him out to be safe. but yah there is no rehab for him going on. he is 100% and has been for quite a while now.

That 4 star recruit rating of his has everyone anxious. Oldie Out and being at one of the real need positions on the team, sounds like a perfect mix for an impact player to the team

Most guys coming off devastating knee injuries don't gain back that explosiveness for about 2 years (at least, that's what I've read).

I could have sworn it was a shoulder injury and not a knee injury. rehab is done and over with for him. he has been full go for several months now. he could have participated in spring but the dates of spring ball were on the borderline for him getting cleared. I could have sworn it was a shoulder injury and not a knee injury. USA Today--DE Perry Jackson, Sierra (Calif.) Community College -- He missed all of last year with a knee injury that made the big-name schools hesitant to offer a scholarship quickly. A Rivals.com four-star recruit, Jackson spurned offers from Utah, Iowa State and Colorado State to play in defensive coordinator Rocky Long's 3-3-5 scheme.
Google is a wonderful thing.

damn idk why i thought it was a shoulder injury. But even better because the guy has been showing no sign of knee favoring or a limp or sitting out of certain drills. He ran in spring and did all the lifts, its just that he sat out of the contact drills. So my guess is that he is 100% now or very close to it and should be full go once camp starts. Google is a wonderful thing. That's great news. The pass rush improvement will be a huge key to the D getting better.

I'd say the projected starter that he replaces would be Ernie Lawson. BJ Williams is a starter and stays where he is. IMO you have it backwards. I think Lawson will flourish on the outside.

I don't think Jackson will start until mid season. I think he'll mostly be a situational pass rush guy to start out with.

We are going to have a nice rotation with the D-Line this season. At the risk of sounding like I'm wearing scarlet-colored glasses, I'd say the 2010 D-line is going to be the best in years. The best since the Dark Side days at least.

On what grounds do you say that? Lawson went from the inside to the outside. I think Jerome Long beat him out. Perry Jackson is a 4 star and BJ Williams has been our best pass rusher. We'll find out soon enough come Fall practice.
