What's his record and ERA now?
I saw how K's per 9 innings is up there with the best in history so far.

I am a Giants fan but an Aztec first. Big win Stephen. I too am a Giants fan, but I must admit that I wanted to see Strasburg do well. It appeared to me as I watched the game, that Strasburg must have been coached to start pitching inside, as batters are no longer crowding the plate. The Giants came into this game on a winning and hitting streak. I think the Giants scored something like 37 runs in the previous 4 games against the Brewers, and Strasburg shut em' down.

He only can pitch 60 some more innings then they have to shut him down for the season.

probably 10-11 more starts. I wonder if they would pitch him more innings if they get into the wild card race?
Assuming 10 more start only, I would guess he ends up around 9 - 5 with era around 2.8

After all the hype, I was concerned he would be a disappointment. Not close. Beast is an apt description.

As a big Dodger fan all my life and one who has hated the Giants since birth.....I love to tell my favorite story of Candlestick... I was about 12. My entire family are Dodger fans, but my dad happens to know Joe Orengo who is a PR guy for the Giants very well. He used to always get us free tix right behind the Dodger dugout. One day we are at Candlestick very early. Joe says to me and my Dad....."Steve, I have a special treat for you today. I would like to take you down to the Giant clubhouse. You can meet Juan Marichal, Willy McCovey, and Willie Mays. You can talk to them and get their autographs." I responded..."Thanks for the offer Mr. Orengo, but I am not interested in meeting or seeing any Giants." Joe was a little shocked, but took it well.

You mean there are THREE of us in the world so masochistic that we root for both the Giants and the Aztecs? Born and raised in So. Cal (LA area) and grew up a tremendous Dodger fan - I lived and breathed Dodger blue. Once I moved to No. Cal in 1986, I slowly developed a "Giant attitude." But what can I say, once an Aztec, always an Aztec - and I am damn proud to admit it. Never forget it. Go Aztecs.........Fight On!!!! P.S. I'd love another shot at Notre Dame
