This is good to see. Hopefully we can start a nice little West Coast rivalry series with them.

A few guys give props ... otherwise most of them don't know what city San Diego State is located and have no idea who their players are and also question ... if they (SDSU) is so good, why play in this if you are not 1 of the top 4. Overall, not much respect for our team and they view us as the program that lost by 30 to their little sister (St Marys). And the truth is ... if we play like we did against St Marys ... we will lose by 40 this time.

I am a proud Aztec sports fan but have been at Gonzaga for law school for 1 year now. As good as Gonzaga is and as tough of a schedule as they play, the fans here tend to overlook some games. The game at Gonzaga will be huge for State, but the Zags might not take State as a serious challenge. I am so excited for this game. One thing that worries me, is Gonzaga usually plays its best basketball at the beginning of the year, which is why they always disappoint by not advancing farther in the tournament recently. The Aztecs usually play their best at the end of the season, which would suggest that Gonzaga has the advantage for a November match-up, not to mention home court. But this is a different Aztec team. Not only is it the most talented, but it is also the most accomplished group collectively to return. This is the perfect year for this kind of game.
AZTECS FIGHT!!!!

It looks like of the big 4 teams, Gonzaga was the only one to get some balls, the rest are playing cupcakes.

I would *like* to think that this would be a year that the Aztecs come out of the gate strong... since they return the entire starting 5, lose only the 2nd and 3rd guys off the bench, get some excellent depth at G/SF with 2 frosh & (significanty) a redshirt who is thus already pretty familiar with the team. I'd think that would mean good chemistry from day 1... Hopefully.
