Couldn't stand the anticipation. Took MTS downtown and got stopped on a corner in Little Italy by two dudes, who started pointing at my Monty gear and said, "Look, there's one right there!" ;D Aztec, that is.

I just had a sandwich and a beer. JNow to nap for a while before getting ready for gametime. Was trying to get a start on my taxes, but just can not get into it.

First -- FIRST -- don't drink and drive.Have a designated driver in tote if you plan on indulging on some high octane libations. (My PS Announcement for the evening)
Tonight's basketball game has to be the biggest basketball story since the Rockets left San Diego and headed to Houston in the early '70s.
With that in mind, let's turn out in big numbers and show these establishments that there is a sleeping giant out there waiting to be served:that it's to their economic interest to not ignore all the Aztec alumni and fans out there anymore and to step their game up from now on.Ergo,"Can I order an Aztec Special?" or "Why isn't the sound turned up on our hometown Aztecs?".Let's show these establishments on the fence that ignoring the Aztecs just won't do.
A perfect example of what I'm talking about was when I and a couple of friends got together to watch the Aztecs play TCU in football at a pub in North Park off of 30th called True North. At the start of the game the bar (a cool bar let me tell you) at the time had as many Aztec fans -- if not more -- than there were Ohio State fans, yet after we asked for sound, management decided to leave the sound on for the Ohio State game claiming there were some Ohio State fans in the bar,and thereby leaving the Aztec fans with video only.Even when the Ohio State game had been decided early on,they still left the sound on for the few Buckeye fans that had stayed. The sound for the Aztec game was turned on with about a minute left in the game. What a slap in the face. Can you imagine a bar in Columbus having the sound off for a Buckeye game deferring instead to an Aztec or UCLA one? No way, right?
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that now is the time to let bar owners know that the numbers are out there if they want us.True North did not seem to care as I noted,so let's see if we can get some of these places to turn their game around in our favor. They don't have to paint their establishments red and black, but leaving hometown Aztec fans without sound simply won't do.I mean, duuuuuh???
Rant over! ;D

Oh,and be loud,be proud, and behave yourselves (If not,at least have the resourcefulness to take pictures to post here)! Conform to being an alumni of a university -- go outside and puke iow.

Moral of the story. Don't go to True North.

Moral of the story. Don't go to True North. I've been meaning to write something about that on Yelp.It was really a slap in the face to the Aztec fans that were there.I love the bar and all because it's a great bar,but that really was a horrible call on the part of management at the time. One could tell by the cheers and noise that there were as much,if not MORE,Aztec fans at the time, and yet this got by the guy controlling the sound.WTF??? ...Step it up,True North. You've got a great thing there, but these amateur mistakes can come back to haunt you (See Seau's).
