Conact Diana at the Alumni Assoc. 61-594-ALUM and tell her where you are meeting and she will put the word out to the Alumni Chapter in that area. There would probably be others that will join you.

Why don't you have the thread title listing the Aztec game and not the enemy's name??
'just asking as an Aztec fan.
It's the San Diego State University men's basketball game and nothing else.

You know, honestly, the same thought crossed my mind when I was typing the subject but aside from following other posts' lead, we KNOW we're playing and to specify which game by saying "Viewing Parties for the Aztec Men's Basketball game on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 7pm" gets kind of lengthy. Trust me, I don't get together to watch anything BYU any other time than when WE are playing them...and if I did, it would be to cheer for the other team - no matter who the other team was!

How about, "AZTEC NATION Viewing Party-Bay Area Aztecs-SDSU at P ovo, Borgville"?
I'm just sick of those cheaters, and and reference to Gidget and the gaggle of goosers, makes me have...let's not say it, "brown yellow underwear".
I'm just sayin'

For those of us in the Sacramento Area, do we have a place where people are meeting to watch the BY-Who game tomorrow?

I gave my take for Seau's after my last experience there. It really is not Aztec friendly.Aztecs are just another team on some of the screens there. www.aztecmesa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ats&action=display&thread=8863That being said, Boston's in Encinitas is Aztec friendly. At this point it appears a few of us will be there for this one.Great place, great food, great service, the owner is an alumnus, and there is plenty of parking.

A mention was made of Trophies in UTC....They closed a few years ago and it is now a steak house....All American Grill in Hazard is the most Aztec friendly sports bar in the valley...BOSTONS for the NO. County folks is great....(is that ok Ben?)

I'm not trying to steer anyone to any place in particular...I hope you all get out somewhere...have a great time...and we break our streaks of disappointing losses for road games we thought were big enough to actually go someplace to watch. I do want to point out that the four establishments in the first post link...all are supporters and "sponsors" of Aztec Athletics. They give money directly to the school.

I think I'm 0-for-Lifetime in going out and watching the Aztecs in big games. Certainly at MacGregor's I've never seen them win -- and watching the Mizzou game there sent me over the falls.
I have a little better record at Trophies/AAG -- but that was against lesser opponents. Dare I bring my "Big Game Curse" into All America Grill??

DC Aztecs viewing party tomorrow night. Yes I know the game is on late for us east coasters but come on people, we are number 4 in the nation with a chance to make a move on up higher! and as Pat Forde just wrote on ESPN...
"If it's big for BYU, then it's gigantic for San Diego State. These games don't come along every century when you're SDSU."
We'll be in Dupont Circle at
Buffalo Billiards 1330 19th street NW Washington, DC
9:30 for some beers, tip is at 10:00
I believe that we will win!

Just wondering if there is any place people in the south are getting together to watch.
Some possibilites:
-Oggi's in eastlake
-La Bella's in west chula vista
-Robert's Griffith's steakhouse in Otay Ranch, Nico's (remember last year we had an Aztec meet up with hoke there)
Can't think of anything else to throw out so any other south bay people trying to meet up.

So far...everything that could go wrong this year...hasn't. So far, everything that has got our teams off course in the past...has had a good outcome. From light encounters with police officers...the flu...turf toe...rolled ankles...the best result we could hope for has happened. I say this is the season to put our 0'fer streaks on the line.
