Bekay doesn't blow smoke. If he feels it is a done deal, I say welcome Bryce!

I've heard his attitude is crap and his work ethic is highly questionable, but I'm assuming Fish is aware of that. If he wants him then you've got to give him the benefit of the doubt. Outside of Habel, Fish has been solid in bringing in good guys.

Don't think Hable was that bad. Made some mistakes but he seems to have moved on and stayed out of trouble. Seems Burns was a bigger mistake.

Only Habel and the left-handed PG from Missouri whose name I can't never remember were a problem.

We were lucky to have Burns. From the MWC website: "Freshman of the Year honors went to San Diego State's Evan Burns. Burns, a forward from Los Angeles, Calif. (Fairfax HS) is the league scoring leader among freshman at 10.2 points per game. He also ranks second in rebounding (4.9 rpg), field goal percentage (.524), steals (0.93) and is fourth in assists (1.14). Burns was the only freshman to be named player of the week this season, capturing the honor the week of March 3. He posted six double-digit scoring games during league play, including the last four, and recorded a double-double with a career-high 31 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in the Aztec victory over New Mexico Feb. 24." Wesley Stokes is the PG who never panned out. Habel gave one good year but he couldn't outrun his personal problems.

I can't say anything about what has happened at USC, but I can say he was very well thought of around here locally during his high school and AAU career. I've heard only good things from people that knew him then. As for since he got to USC, I have no knowledge. He is a pretty elite talent though. He would bring something we never seem to have: a legit big guard that has the ability to really get to the hole.

Burns had a horrible work ethic and an undeserved sense of entitlement. Even before he got injured he spent more time ditching class, getting high and eating fast food .. than working on his game or his grades. Burns was rated ahead of Carmelo Anthony coming out of high school but never worked hard enough.

Bryce Jones: We hope you make the right decision and come on board. You won't regret it.

It could be that neither Jones or the coach are the problem, but just that they were not a good match. Fisher is good this way in that he seems to have a lot of repect from the players.

Bekays, what kind of player is he and who would you compare him to? Will he have a huge impact on the team once he starts playing? Well spoken Seems like a great kid and no attitude and speaks well.
