A boat load of ATalkers went to Salt Lake City for the opening round against Indiana a few years back. It was a great time (until RW dribbled it off his foot...). I highly recommend it and suspect we will be playing closer to San Diego this year... Wasn't it Brandon Heath? Yes.

For all of you going to MWCT, make sure you look for Azson and me in the T&M parking lot - before and after the games. There will be celebratory margaritas flowing. These are not your grandfather's margaritas - these are Righteous Richard's Famous Margaritas, perfected to a life form previously not experienced. ;D
This will put you in a proper mood to experience The Show shouting at Lobos fans, "Nobody like us! We DON"T care!"

Orleans, not a bad price, but I got them a month ago. WAC Tournament will be at the Orleans this season why you are there. Check out a Fresno, Nevada, Boise or Hawaii game in the Orleans Arena! ;D

Planning to go this year. Had to miss last year due to my daughter being a mere 5 months old, but me and my buddies had a blast in 2009, up until finals loss to Utah. Probably stay at Ceasars, usually have a deal there.

Last time I checked, Hard Rock was sold out on tourney dates. Only the MWC block is sold out. Reserved my room their last night for all days...didn't get the MWC discount, but a pretty good price considering it's the Hard Rock.

I'm sure this will come up again as we get closer, but we need to have some sort of AztecMesa 'meetup'.
Also, for those who have been before, do you typically just get the ticket package, buy individual games (from SDSU or ticket office) or do the scalper thing? I see the package is about $175 and if you just did the single tickets it would be $125 for 3 sessions.
I do know from going to the T&M for last year's SDSU game, I don't want to be in the upper bowl.

Scalper or T&M ticket office for game 1 and buy them from the losers after each game. They will be running for the hills if they lose. New Mexico are classic losers. Must be the red sport coat that Alford sports.

Driving out and staying at the Imperial Palace. More money to spend on getting blacked out after we win.

Flying in on Thursday night so the wife, daughter and I can watch the Semi's and the championship games.
We can only attend session 6 and 7. Should I or can I buy through the SDSU ticket office or do I have to buy through the T&M ticket office?
Is it more than probable that we can get session tickets outside the arena? I dont want to fly in and then have problems getting tickets for the games, no issue with me to pay face value to SDSU or T&M. Looking to all you MWC tournament vets for guidance here.
I expect it to be a great time in the semi's and final. Going to stay at my daughters house down there, Son-in law is stationed at Nellis and just started a deployment in Qatar. I am hoping the Finals are going to be the start of a great birthday present for my daughter.

From the MWC Tournament brochure that came with my season tickets, it says the following: Single Session tickets are only available for purchase starting on Tuesday, March 1st, 2011, at the Thomas & Mack Center box office or through UNLVTickets.com.Session #6 (Men's Semi) price = $40 (Reserved) Session #7 (Finals) price = $45 (Reserved)

We've never had any problem getting tix outside at ticket office, or buying from other fans not attending later sessions. HOWEVER, if you want to sit on the floor it's better to get in advance so you're guaranteed. I tried to get on the floor for semis and finals and ended up upstairs. Any advance tix you don't use, you can no doubt seel to other Aztec fans. Regards, The 'Dick

Cool, thanks for the advice, I'm seriously thinking of just getting the MWC Package ($175 for all-session tickets in the Aztecs session). I don't want to be upstairs. Good news is that it was a good year for me in Fantasy Football and even better in an Elminiator Pool...

Just out of curiosity I'm going to bring this TTT. That and it took me forever to find this thread. AztecBruce would be so proud of me.
We have 4 of us staying at the Monte Carlo and 4 staying at the Hard Rock. Coming in Wednesday night. I'd love to see us get the 1 seed if only for the fact that we would play the 1st game and we could take an extended trip to Fremont Street.

So the WCC, WAC and MWC all have their Conference Tournaments in Vegas this year. Glad I'll be there this year.

The seats are good and you get to sit with Aztec fans.
