Bland to Washington. Done deal. Dang, that is a phenomenal re-entry into the college scene for him. Glad he got another chance.

Bland to Washington. Done deal. Dang, that is a phenomenal re-entry into the college scene for him. Glad he got another chance. Bland's decision to accept a $4K bribe was regrettable, occurring seven years ago, and it set him back significantly more than the amount he received, so its nice to see him back at the DI level. "Bland plead guilty to taking a bribe of $4,100 to steer players to retain certain financial advisors and business managers once they entered the professional ranks. The prosecuting attorney was seeking 6 months to two years in prison, but the judge took into consideration Bland’s clean record and the journey he took to get out of the troubled neighborhood he grew up in and become so successful in life. The judge handed down a sentence of two years probation."www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/former-usc-assistant-tony-bland-could-be-joining-sprinkle-s-staff/ar-BB1kA4Bw

I watched the documentary and saw the footage where Christian Dawkins was basically pushing the money onto him. It was awkward. He did take the money, so yes, guilty as charged, but he didn't look entirely comfortable with it and certainly seemed like he didn't go to that hotel room looking for money.
