worst part about the padres isnt their pitching, its their over-paid lineup of similar type hitters. our advance scouting continues to suck, and our hitters are not adjusting to what is coming at them. 1 run in 3 games for this lineup? unacceptable. So you're both crediting and discrediting the lineup in the same post.

"1 run in 3 games with this lineup" - But I'm confused with the critique of similar type hitters. It's largely the same offense that was fringe top 10 last season, plus you added depth with Carpenter and Cruz. Guys are severely underperforming their expected numbers and the ballpark is unfortunately doing its annual early season thing. They'll right the ship, but it's not going to come all at once.

Yeah, this is a wrecking crew, but right now it’s them getting wrecked. Pitching's "Dead Arm Days” are right around the bend. Hitters will then catch up to pitching, and damage will be done on a nightly basis.
FWIW, Doggers aren’t having any more success winning games than the Padres… right now, anyway.

It's early for all of these guy's, but Carpenter's been the s**ts, as well. The guy has struck out in 12 of his 33 at bats. Close to half the time. Hopefully soon, he can help out when needed.

… winning 1–0 is still winning. Holy Cow - still no offense.
D-Bags are playing way above their pay grades right now.
Padres need to put a stop to that (among other things) starting tomorrow.

Doyers and Snakes both lose today. As poor of a start to the season, only 2.5 games back, fortunate that the Doyers have started off almost as badly.

I'll be happy as long as they're in the hunt at the All Star break. Turn it on at that point with everybody bursting at full throttle and putting it all together. Peak at the right time.

Manny is making good contact the last few games – batted balls are just getting hit right at people (like pitchers - yikes!!!)
Milliseconds early/late on contact. He's getting closer to dialing it in now.

Dixon down, Tatis reinstated, Suarez to the 60-day. Odor survives a round to play a couple more weeks.

Unfortunately, but we got the lead back. Gotta hang on. Grisham is coming up clutch. Good for him.
