Obviously the Clevenger and Manea trades have been pretty worthless. Can we get anything back from them?

Mike is barely back from injury. Sean, first year in the system, his stuff is there, he needs more time with a good pitching coach.

Too bad we can't steal the Dodgers' pitching coach (offer him more money).

That's luck of the draw (fewer injuries). The Dodgers had better pitching, overall, than the Padres did.

They need to do some bench clearing. Too many coaches, the batting coach to be sure, who don't seem to have players' attention.
When the announcers are telling us what we already know: Stop taking all those pitches and swing the bat, it's become an organizational issue. Needs to be dealt with, but they probably won't. We'll see the same asses in the same seats with the same nonsense next season. Along with the same results.
Rinse, repeat.
That's the Padres…

The hitting coach has been here one season. And he needs to be gone next season. Obviously. The only thing obvious is the lack of perspective to take a step back and realize the series just ended four hours ago, recency bias is a real thing and that armchair managing, while easy, doesn't mean you know better than Bob Melvin, AJ Preller or anyone with the Padres. Brdar is highly regarded and the team literally came a couple games away from the World Series. Take a breath.

There are plenty of ways to look at it. Not just yours.

Sez you… There are plenty of ways to look at it. Not just yours. My way actually involves perspective...and a background with some of the people you think should be fired. Firing the hitting coach (as we have seen over and over and over again) does not solve the issue.

Manaea just signed with the Gigantes.
The good: He gave the Padres 150 innings last year.
The bad: . The 4.98 era was kind of tough to watch….well above his career avg.
