Nonetheless he has been hitting when the rest of you wrote him off. Good for Franimal! He's had an 11 game stretch with the Cubs. That's it. Let's see where he is at the end of the season before anyone anoints him the next David Ortiz.

Let me guess, you were all in on Joey Gallo last year? Sure, all hitters have hot and cold streaks. But if you review your posts, you had put a fork in him….as in done, see you back on the island. Like I said, I’m happy for him, he’s bought himself at least one more spring training or maybe season….and he certainly as hot as anyone the Padres have right now, during the playoff drive.

Nothing to admit to. Wasn't interested in Gallo. Yes, all hitters have hot and cold streaks, and I don't need to review my posts, as I know what I said. He put a fork into himself--coming into camp completely unready this past spring.

He's an easy DFA candidate after this season.

How is someone's performance over just 8 games "right"? He's 2 for 12 over the last 2+ games, as of the 4th inning today!! Lets see where he sits after 20 games.

Make that 2 for his last 13 thru 5 innings today. He's reverting to the norm (for him). I'm glad he's had a nice stretch for the Cubs, but the point being we didn't want or need him. He's a bad fit given we have Bell, Drury & Myers, and want to give DH duties on occasion to Manny, Jake & Soto.

Since the last game Reyes played for Cleveland, the team formally known as the Indians have gone 33-18, and clinched the AL Central title.
Coincidence?
