Hader gives up 6 in 1/3 of an inning. How is that even possible?
I mean, seriously, I couldn't do worse. It's like he's throwing batting practice out there.
It's like Milwaukee is paying him to throw games, he's pitching that poorly. Like he was a plant - a spy - sent here to destroy the team! (I know he's not, it's just a melodramatic way of showing the effect his bad pitching is having, and that, coming from a wildcard rival, it sure helps them while hurting us!)

He needs to go somewhere until he's fixed. Just move on from him, he's not going to help them down the stretch like this - and as close as it's turning out to be, he could easily screw them "Royally" like he did today. Whatever's wrong with him isn't going to help the Padres win.
Today's moundshit didn't really affect the ultimate outcome of the game, but it's just one more reminder that they got nothing in the deal that brought him here. Taylor Rogers (knee problems) hasn't done a whole lot better, earning only one save in the past month.

Something must be on his mind that's impeding his ability to perform. Or maybe he's not getting any sleep. It might benefit him to take a week or two off, honestly.

What a disaster. I can’t fathom Hader being so useless, his stuff has been so filthy for years now.
Just…wow

His child nearly died and still isn't out of the woods yet, per MLB Network. Heavy, heavy stuff.

So indeed the stories are true, and he should not be playing baseball right now. There are far more important things in life than this game. That's for certain. I hope the Padres make it easy for him to be wherever he needs to be during this time. It's probably not in San Diego, either.

Or...maybe they asked Hader, and he said he would rather pitch through these issues. I think he's at least earned that right. Unfortunately, right now, he just isn't pitching that well, and that is to be expected. I would think the Padres are respecting his decisions, but maybe it would be better for him to just take some time off. Maybe that would be better for all concerned right now. I have no idea how he feels at the moment, as I have never been in anywhere near that type of a serious situation.

His wife said via twitter to the MLB network that the stories are not true, his baby is perfectly fine & has been since it got out of the hospital a while ago. She questioned why they'd report something that was not true?

Plenty of roomers in this thread that might lead one to assume there's some health issues with the baby. That's where the assumption comes from … of course, if his wife is on the level and everything at home and with the baby is fine, then Hader's got far bigger problems than a few misplaced assumptions on a backwater Internet forum thread.

You would think that MLB network would have a reliable source of info.

Good to read Acee saying they still think Hader will be back in the closer role shortly. Hopefully we get a big lead today, he pitches a clean inning in a low leverage situation & he's 1 or 2 appearances away from taking back the reigns.
Also good to see Stammen & Johnson making progress in the minors. With Morejon, Hill, Martinez, Suarez, Crismatt & lately Wilson, compared to most bullpens I like our chances! Not perfect, but solid. Add Hader to the mix, who I believe is critical come playoffs, and we'd be more than solid. I believe rosters expand by 2 tomorrow, so assuming when those 2 get ready nobody will need to be sent down? I'm assuming we'd expand via pitchers - doesn't seem like we need any more position players unless we go with the 3rd catcher?

And we didn't have to wait too long. No more non-leverage situations. Martinez being unavailable probably sped up the process. HUGE!

Not sure I'm giving him an all-access pass after one recent, decent outing … but whatever. He either comes through this without more losses or he doesn't. He needs to be the guy they traded for last month.

Hope he gets another save chance sooner than later. I'd like to figure this out now rather than two weeks from now.

Never mind, he was bad again today. Not horrible bad but still gave up a run in the 1 inning he pitched.

Yep, more pooch screwing last night. Damaged goods, one way or another. At this point, he needs to prove himself. He hasn't shown anything but pure crap since he got here. At least he makes no excuses - unlike Jayce Melvin Tingler II
