You're losing brain cells?? I'm finally saying that he hasn't been good?? Are you kidding me?? Shoot, you still don't get the fact that I've always said he has underachieved and not played up to his contract. We agree on that. But, I'm pulling for him. My issue for the millionth time, is you say you have no hate for the guy, but you demonstrate that you REALLY do. You're quick to post any and all things bad Hosmer, ad nauseam, and you can't find yourself to ever say anything good about him, especially in April. You be you. You hope he doesn't do well, and you'd rather be right. I, on the other hand, hope he can have some production and help us win games, and have some consistency. That's the difference. Pride, no. I was simply happy that he was coming through in April, and helping us win ball games. I'm not currently happy that's he struggling, but I'm sure you're happy that you can say, I told you so, even though everyone knew he couldn't keep that April pace. Oh yeah, and Pham's a choir boy. Uh huh. What a joke. Whether I'm happy or not is irrelevant. The data tells me he can't sustain it...and his ego and statements to the media tells me he doesn't care enough to try. That's really all it boils down to. Ok.

Hosmer heating up again. Another HR - today at 106.5 MPH exit. That makes two dingers in the past three games.

Yes, and since he didn't play yesterday, it's two homers in the last two games he's played in. Good to see him hit with power at the moment, since we're without Machado, Voit, and of course, Tatis.

And Cronenworth, even on his bobblehead night (yes, I know it was a match-up issue).

We need him to be productive while we have so many mashers out.

Just like last night, it's Hosmer again scoring the first run. No HR tonight, but he hit a two-bagger and was singled home by Austin Nola (off Aaron Nola- ouch!)
… hard to believe that one run is going to win this game, and LA already won theirs.
But anything can happen…

He's BAAAAAAAACK! Cubbies will rue the day - or maybe not - he'll get the league minimum since he's still paid by the Padres for three more years. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yfvsh8vrEl4

Apparently, it's been announced on X/Twitter that the Padres will retire Hosmer's number this season, along with hiring him as the bench coach (with a different number).
Hell, they should have retired Tim Flannery's number before retiring Hosmer's.

That's a fake/parody account, just so that's clear.

That's a fake/parody account, just so that's clear. Another reason I don't have X/Twitter. It showed up on my FB feed this AM.

Loved Hosmer early here, not so much the later version of him. Solid career though: 4 Gold Gloves, 2 AL Pennants and a World Series title.
