This is noteworthy and continues the troubling theme of SDSU making decisions outside of and more restrictive than current guidelines/recommendations for both players and fans, even for California. The buck cannot be passed to “oh blame the politicians”. Probably better to identify those who are sick so they don’t spread it to someone who ends up symptomatic. Just good sense, competitively and ethically. Do you test yourself daily or every time you are about to go in public? You should based on what you said.

If I had the resources and could test myself every day before exposing anybody else, I would. I don’t think that’s something to be ashamed of?

The buck cannot be passed to “oh blame the politicians”. Why is this troubling? Wouldn’t it be best to get a sick person earlier to avoid infection of the entire team? This process would seem to find Covid before it can spread amongst them, which would cancel games and cost money

You wouldn’t ask someone to do something that you yourself wouldn’t do. I respect that.

All this for a virus that is now much like the common cold. Interesting enough that I haven’t heard a single player out of the National Championship game from COVID. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen and I may not have heard of any. It sure seems like neither team is missing anyone. Did COVID skip Indy? Are both teams just that lucky? Did anyone hear about players missing from COVID? I am not trying to start a fight or turn this into a sh.it show. Just curious because it would make for an interesting conspiracy theory after all the bowel games canceled with players testing positive. I promise you each university is handling Covid differently just as each state is handling it differently.

I'm amazed that all of these vaccinated players are getting the 'vid... The current vaccines are working as well for keeping people from getting the virus but massively reducing the symptoms. It is also regarding close contact as well. So the person may not have actually gotten the virus but are quarantined to mitigate the spread. Pfizer announced recently the have a new vaccine for omicron in March which increase protection from it.

All this for a virus that is now much like the common cold. Hardly the common cold, The country has over 2,500 deaths per day from Covid. The common cold doesn't kill that many people every day. Plus, the common cold doesn't have nearly as many long term effects. Some Hospitals are full, elective surgeries are cancelled and ambulances are being turned away here in L.A.

They are not canceling the Super Bowl under ANY circumstances related to Covid. There is simply too much money involved. The CDC, Fauci, etc. et al have already in the past couple of weeks made statements indicating Covid policies will reflect economic and social exigencies.

Dying "from" or "with COVID? Also, the head of the CDC just said over the weekend that over 75% of those dead from/with COVID had at least four comorbidities. As for issues at the hospitals, I suppose we should rethink firing doctors, nurses and staff who did not get "vaccinated." If you want "herd immunity" you want this variant to spread. Protect those most at risk, but healthy people are not the ones dying from this. Natural immunity is better than what these "vaccines" are providing. www.nbcrightnow.com/national/cdc-director-75-of-covid-deaths-among-vaccinated-had-four-comorbidities/article_7bd4be7c-4e12-5b73-8894-c5eee7254f68.html
